Scripture: Phillipians 4:13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Application: Again, it is brought to our attention that it is not within us to be strong 24 X 7, for we are all in the predicament of human frailties. But do you know that Christ Jesus can be strong on your behalf all the time? He does not grow weary, His strength does not fail, and He cannot turn a deaf ear on behalf of an earnest plea for help. You may not be able to do all things, but through His and strength you are able to ask for help and receive it. He loves to strengthen you by displaying His majesty and power through you. You can say no to that second serving. You can say no to that dessert. You can say, I am weary, but I can exercise for 15 minutes if You strengthen me, Lord. The possibilities are endless. The capabilities that are given to us once we realize that His strength to overcome is no less today than it was yesterday, or will be tomorrow. Scripture tells us that there is no variance in Christ Jesus. Did He help you yesterday to walk away from that temptation? Yes? Then why would He not strengthen you to resist it today? His strength is available to those who ask.Prayer: Lord Jesus, today I ask for Your strength upon me so I can face and meet my challenge of losing this unsightly weight. I grow weary, Lord, so I ask that You energize me and show me that this will all be worth it some day soon. Grant me the patience and the vision to ride high above my desire to quit when things get rough. Strengthen me according to Your power, Lord, and it shall be done as I believe. Amen My Commitment Today: |
