Yes, to all. Tho i wouldn't get a CD drive that is too old you need at least a DVD drive that can write and burn CDs/DVDs. These are not that much on newegg. And a CD/DVD drive is a separate device *its in the shape of a box and slides into the front of the PC case* Like this one - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106289 Tho i would check to see if you don't already have a CD/DVD writer drive now with your current PC. Then you could just use that in your new Computer. But if its only a CD writer/DVD reader or just a CD reader i wouldn't bother with it. |

No. Thats because the DVD burner was distributed before the release of Windows 7 and it says XP/Vista which basically means it works in W7 no problem ![]() YES I R NOT JAMES >_> |

^ Yes, you'll see that kinda stuff on some products that were made before OS's software etc came out. Once i saw a PSu on newegg that it said it supported up to two 9800 GTXs in SLI and with its specs it could do at least two 285s or better no problem its just when that PSu was made the 285 didn't exist yet so they didn't list it as working with it for SLI it don't mean it wont work. I could install windows XP with a CD drive from the 90s and it would still work. All CD/DVD Drives no matter what year they were made can read any CD/DVD or install any OS. Don't trust every thing Newegg lists about their products... A DVD drive is just a DVD drive and a CD drive is just a CD drive all are the same all read the same media Plain and simple. Also Windows 7 was build off the same code Vista was *shocking i know* so any Driver/hardware that says it works with vista will work under windows 7. |
