Open and edit MP4 files in PowerDirector (16 Ultimate/Ultra)

When you try to drop MP4 files to Cyberlink PowerDirector, you may find that PowerDirector can't import and play MP4 correctly: It fails to recognize the clip or no audio track is found... After multiple testing, we astonishedly found a workaround to use the MP4 file in Powerdirector in the very end. Here is how.

According to the Cyberlink official website, Powerdirector can support MPEG-4 format, but due to the codec issue, PowerDirector might not work with all MP4 files. To open and edit all MP4 files in PowerDirector (16) without hassle, a better choice is to convert MP4 to Cyberlink PowerDirector most compatible format like MPEG-2. Here we recommend Dimo Video Converter Ultimate, which is a great app to encode MOV to MPEG-2 for editing in PowerDirector with the best quality.

With it, you can also convert MP4 to MPEG-2, AVI, FLV, WMV, etc. for different video/audio players. Meanwhile, this video app enables you to change MP4 to editable format for Pinnacle Studio, Adobe Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas, Windows Movie Maker, Avid Studio, Magix Movie Edit Pro and more other NLEs.
