LIAM DUN TUTCH I SWEAR I KILL U -======== Introduction ========- This guide will help you get started in the roleplay. Each category has a link at the end of the statement which will link off to a more in-depth guide relevant to the category. Reading those advanced guides will take a bit longer, but at the same time ensure you get the most out of the roleplay and don't get stick off other players. -======== How to use this guide ========- This guide has been created for quick referance or new players that don't particulary fancy mountains of text for one guide. Somewhere amongst the category you are reading there will be a link to a page similair to this, but focusing on that one category in-depth and advanced hints on how to use the function correctly. This could mean mounds of text, or simple screen shots. -========Mobile Suit list========- The Mobile Suit list may seem intimidating at first. But you'll get used to it fast. The purpose to the Mobile Suit List(MSL) is for people to ctrl-f a barcode they have been supplied with. Ctrl-F brings up a search style toolbar - the variety of the toolbar depending on your operating system or internet browser. Simply type in the three digit number given to you, and it should find the barcode instantly. If it doesn't, and it finds the model for a mobile suit, hit the next button and it will find the next result with that number in. When you have the correct model, it's mandatory to post it's contents (apart from the price tag and barcode) in your signature, optionally with a picture of the mobile suit next to it. The Mobile Suit List displays mobile suit's known In Character. There are hundreds more waiting to be found by roleplaying means. -========Ship list========- The ship list is similair to the mobile suit, the only difference being the layout of the information and the lack of variety. There is a lack of variety due to the fact that these are not easy to come across - and cost a substancial amount of money to purchase. Some ships have the ability to carry Mobile Suits. In this case, you should visit the advanced Ship Owner guide for rules on that subject. Ships are incredibly powerful, and should never be underestimated. Ships have a crew who play a crucial role in the survival and upbringing of your character and ship, which will also be described in the Ship Owner guide. -========Faction choices========- When you create a new character you have the choice to post a Faction Application. The Faction Application can be found pinned on any faction's forum, typically titled "Faction Application". Copy and paste the contents of the Forum Application and progress to make your own thread, titled, "[YOUR NAME - Faction Application]". When your application is posted, please await approval by a Moderator or Administrator. If you are accepted, a PM will be sent to you containing all of the information you need to put in your signature, and the 'keys' to your new Mobile Suit. Each Mobile Suit is faction specific. -========Faction beneftis========- Each faction houses it's own benefits and hindrances. These could make the difference from living on earth.. to living in space. Being given a Gundam for joining ... or a Mobile Suit(Which would probably never happen.). The benefits will be listed in a PM given to you when you join the faction. In it will contain anything you have been granted for joining the faction, be it a Mobile Suit, money, or even both. But faction's also have their hindrances. One faction could give a better Mobile Suit, but pay less or vice versa. The other hindrances however - would have to be found out In Character. -========Biography========- A biography is exactly what you would expect it to be. The story of your character's life. The biography template can be found in the Out of Character section in the Bio's forum, and will be pinned. Simply copy and paste the contents of the template in to your own thread titled, "[CHARACTER'S NAME - Bio/Biography]". Fill in the required fields and post it. The Biography does not need approving, but can be dissaproved if Moderator's see it unfit to narrate your story. Creating a biography is not mandatory, but would greatly increase your reputation, as well as give some background light to who your character is and what he/she does or has done. Please feel free to use a template of your own, the current template is not the required template - just an example. -========Going rogue========- If you choose not to join a faction then you can go rogue. But going rogue has alot of hindrances. But the rewards can be great and fruitful. To go rogue, please include it in your biography. You are not required to post an application. Going rogue means going solo. It doesn't necessarily mean you're evil. In fact, it could mean quite the opposite. Going rogue means becoming your own agent. You don't belong to a faction, you don't earn a salary. You can take missions for rogue agencies however, such as the Junk Guild. The missions can vary from escort to assisted mass-murder. As a rogue you won't start off with a Mobile Suit. Instead, you'll have to fend for yourself. Obtaining a Mobile Suit will be tough, but there is no limitations to your power. If going rogue, it's best you read the advanced guide for it. There's alot to fit in, and it's not recommened for new roleplayers. The challenges will be tough. But the payout will be well worth it. -========Mobile Suit Junk Dealer========- The name contradicts itself. It's not JUST a Mobile Suit dealer, it also sells parts and benefits of all kinds. To access the Mobile Suit Junk Dealer, head to the page by clicking on the link titled "Mobile Suit Junk Dealer". The link is in the menubar where you can find "Search, Members, Calendar, FAQ, Portal, Mobile Suit Junk Dealer". Now that you are in the page, you'll notice some confusing looking numbers and titles running across the screen. It's actually quite simple. What you're looking at is the shops inventory. To shorten it down, the template for the inventory is: [X. Y - A - B] X = The number you input into' to the textbox below the inventory to indicate which item you wish to purchase. Y = Title. A = Any additional information, usually a three digit barcode for ctrl-f'ing on the appropriate list. This can also be information for just how many of the items there is, and the condition it's in. B = Price. For example, 3. XMS 0245 Guidance Gundam - Limited Edition, missing limb 035 - $3453 When you click submit a message should pop up informing you that your order has been shipped and will arrive shortly. You will then be redirected to the main page. -========How to earn cash========- -========EXIA ND WING ZERO IN SAME RP WTFZ?!1/? -========Signatures========- -========Item limitations========- -========Fair roleplay========- -========Selling a mobile suit/part========- -========How YOU can help the roleplay========- Edited by Tyrol, Oct 6 2009, 03:40 PM.
