 The Year is 2107, with the decline of fuel sources available to earth, nations have converged on the new source of energy available, solar energy. But what was once peace and unity has now shattered over the last final bout to gain the last traces of fossil fuel known to man. As the rest of the world relies on the solar powered “Orbital Elevators” various nations have emerged as separate entities to fight for the last drop of the fuel; and to gain recognition as the world superpower. Major powers have begun to emerge as top players in the race to conquer the last remaining sources of power. The United Nations of Free Countries (UNFC), a rather large government which is comprised of countries that were once separate from each other. The Earth Liberation Front (ELF), as they call themselves is an organization well funded and well established out of Europe and the not-so-damaged parts of Asia. And though as if there is no time line to estimate the end, life as we know it hangs in the balance. Not by the low levels of natural resources, but by the ravenous war that surrounds and threatens our very way of life. This is where you come in. You are a soldier on the front lines. To you the war isn’t something displayed on the evening news, but instead your daily life. You believe in what your doing, and will find a way to bring this war to a close, one mission at a time. Scars: None Faction: UNFC Appearance: A sort of soft looking face, no facial hair, and a crew cut. Personality: A radical nationlist, cunning, and a true blue soldier. While on the front james could care less about most regulations, seeing as "keeping ones boots" is just pointless while one might not live to see tomorrow. James could be best described as having a Colonel Potter personality (see MASH the t.v. series). James has been known to go berserk during battle, often leaping out of safety at his own risk, to kill his enemy. However James will never kill an unarmed man or woman, someone who has surrendered, or civilians. Despite being a soldier, James is still somewhat religous, and keeps a strong set of morals that help guide him. History/Biography: Born in 2078, on January 14th, in San Diego General Hospital, on Hopkins street. James's father had been a scientist working for the military when he disappeared, and was never seen again. James's mother, Amy took care of him when she wasn't working as the head manager for some business that ended up going under at the turn of the century, so James was often with a nanny for most his life. It was his nanny who ended up taking him to church, and it was her that James took his problems. James had managed to drift by in school, taking interest in football and hockey. James however was an average student at best, he got mostly B's, and had failed to make the football team as the quarterback. With that James turned his attention else where, looking to the military for some help in guiding him in life, to give him some kind of purpose. It wasn't until James's senior year that his goverment teacher instilled the ideals of ultranationlism, and encouraged james to enlist and do his part and give back to society. Amy and Jessica, the nanny, were a little upset about the decision James was going to make, but he explained to them that this was what he wanted, so they both reluctantly agreed, and Amy signed his premission slip to enlist at the age of 17, and head out to basic in a year. At basic training James was exposed to a variety of cultures, people from all over gathered into one small base, and it was here that James furthered his ideals about ultranationlism. James had originally been selected, and signed up for, the infantry, but it was mandated that all military personnel spend time in the simulators. At first James was a horrible pilot, he found the controls to be too clumsy, an he was often ending the sim a few minutes after it began. However a determined instructor named Fenix, made sure that James spent all his free time in the sim, and made sure that James would actually get better. James at the time didn't care about being in the sim, he wanted to go off and fight with his rifle and commrades on the front, but Fenix held James back while everyone else graduated. Eventually James got the hang of the sim, and was selected for advanced Mobile Suit training, and to the surprise of Fenix and the other instructors, James turned out to be better then them, and all the other recruits. Recognizing his skill, James was allowed to graduate early after defeating the intructors in a war game, they were very embarassed at this defeat. James was at once shipped off to a small base in the pacific where he spent most of his time, until recent troubles have escalated and he was sent to the front.
