The Year is 2107, with the decline of fuel sources available to earth, nations have converged on the new source of energy available, solar energy. But what was once peace and unity has now shattered over the last final bout to gain the last traces of fossil fuel known to man. As the rest of the world relies on the solar powered “Orbital Elevators” various nations have emerged as separate entities to fight for the last drop of the fuel; and to gain recognition as the world superpower.

Major powers have begun to emerge as top players in the race to conquer the last remaining sources of power. The United Nations of Free Countries (UNFC), a rather large government which is comprised of countries that were once separate from each other. The Earth Liberation Front (ELF), as they call themselves is an organization well funded and well established out of Europe and the not-so-damaged parts of Asia.

And though as if there is no time line to estimate the end, life as we know it hangs in the balance. Not by the low levels of natural resources, but by the ravenous war that surrounds and threatens our very way of life. This is where you come in. You are a soldier on the front lines. To you the war isn’t something displayed on the evening news, but instead your daily life. You believe in what your doing, and will find a way to bring this war to a close, one mission at a time.

Gundam 00: A Broken Unity Handbook

Introduction
In order to help you in your stay here, the staff has come up with a comprehensive handbook of helpful information, guidelines and rules. These ‘rules’ should be followed and this very handbook should be read before you do anything.

OOC Rules
1. Do not flame, this is not cool. If you do it we will reprimand you.
2. This site is rated R, do not abuse that rating by posting graphic situations or descriptions.
3. Be respectful. If we get a hint that you are being argumentative or downright rude we will have a sit down talk or kick you out.
4. One account per member please.
5. No spamming or double posting without reason. Spamming includes one word replies.

IC Rules
1. For every one battle thread there should be three non-combat threads (3:1 ratio). Meaning, for every battle you are involved in you should have completed or will complete three non-combat threads. Remember, this rule is enforced, we hold this in high regard since after all – fighting is not the only thing a pilot does; washing clothes, meeting people, planning new missions, repairing the suit, etc etc.
2. Try to post in order.
3. You cannot kill another character without the other member’s permission. If a character is in a situation where he cannot get out of – staff will evaluate and decide the death.
4. Posts should be made in 3rd person. No exceptions.
5. More of a guideline than a rule. But, posts should be no shorter than 150 words.

Stepping Into the Role
You must live out your character’s life on the board. When you aren’t in the field fighting you wouldn’t vanish into thin air. Your character would have other things they would be working on, whether it is something as mundane as doing laundry, hanging out with their team-mates, or studying the weapon specs of their machine. It is these actions you must play out as well with your character. Now some of you will be tempted to ask, why should I bother? There is a simple answer to this, what would any Gundam story be without the time spent out of the cockpit? Nothing. That is the simple answer to that question. If Gundam was nothing more then machine on machine action, no one would really watch it. The series would be little more then a Saturday morning cartoon that few if any would follow.

Frequently Asked Question
1. Can we play as Setsuna, Lockon or Tieria?
No. This game is loosely set in the Gundam 00 universe. That means that each side of the conflict has weapons as powerful as the other. The only things that are akin to Gundam 00 is the vague storyline and the GN Drive ideas.

2. What do I do when I’m not fighting?
Easy. You do whatever you feel like. Converse with other characters of the game, plan your next mission, strike up a companion or further your characters history outside of the cockpit. Refer to IC rule #1.

3. Can my character die?
Yes and no. Yes, he/she can die, but only at your permission. If you are in a situation that you can’t get out of then your going to die anyway.

4. How do I upgrade or buy more weapons for my Gundam?
When you create your mobile suit, you are stuck with your weapons and equipment. The only way you are able to get new stuff is if they are legitimately destroyed or damaged beyond repair in the role-play.

5. Can I have more than one GN Drive?
Currently, no. We are limiting that to one per suit for equality reasons.
