The location of JOSH-A, the central headquarters of the Earth Alliance forces as of C.E. 71.

A Middle Eastern city located on the south shore of the Caspian Sea, which is also the site of a large power plant. The Earth Alliance forces have occupied Gulnahan as a bridgehead to maintain control of Eurasia, and they have constructed a fortification known as the Lohengrin Gate to guard the valley that leads to the city itself. However, the local population strongly opposes the Earth Alliance occupation, and has formed a resistance movement.

The Earth Alliance's main lunar base, located in the Ptolemaeus Crater on the near side of the moon. Originally established by the Atlantic Federation in C.E. 35 to police the space colonies, this base now serves as the headquarters of most of the Alliance's space fleets, and as a staging area for their attacks on the PLANT homeland.

An Earth Alliance spaceport located on the shore of Lake Victoria in eastern Africa.

A city in northeastern Egypt which is the site of a major Earth Alliance base. This base controls the Suez Canal that connects the Mediterranean to the Red Sea, and is now the main target of ZAFT's military operations in Eurasia.

An asteroid fortress controlled by the Eurasian Federation, a member of the Earth Alliance. Located at Lagrange point 3, a point in Earth orbit directly opposite the moon, Artemis is considered a backwater base of little strategic value.

A large cylindrical space station in the PLANT homeland which serves as the headquarters and command center of the ZAFT forces. This military station is surrounded by dozens of floating docks for use by ZAFT warships.

The site of a ZAFT base at the northern end of the Persian Gulf. The Mahamul base was established in preparation for an attack on the Earth Alliance stronghold at Suez.

One of the two space fortresses that guard the PLANT homeland. Like its companion Boaz, Jachin Due is a former resource asteroid.The asteroid's thick rock walls make it an ideal military facility, capable of surviving anything short of an all-out nuclear attack.

A ZAFT base located in the Gulf of Carpentaria on the northern coast of Australia, a continent controlled by the PLANT-aligned Oceania Union.

A land formation at the southern tip of modern-day Spain, where the Mediterranean Sea opens onto the Atlantic Ocean. Historically used as a military fortress, this is now the location of a major ZAFT base.

A new PLANT constructed after the end of the first war between Earth and the PLANTs. Armory One is located at Lagrange point 4, far from the PLANT homeland, and serves as a military arsenal for the ZAFT forces.

One of several islands in the archipelago which makes up the Orb Union. Onogoro is controlled by the Orb military and by the Morgenroete munitions company, and its high-security facilities are protected even from satellite surveillance.

A space colony located at Lagrange point 4, named after the pioneering genetic theorist Gregor Mendel. The construction of Mendel began around C.E. 30, and the colony went on to host many of the genetic engineering companies and businesses involved in Coordinator production, such as GARM R&D.

A resource satellite located at Lagrange point 3, and controlled by the Orb Union, one of Earth's neutral nations. Heliopolis uses a traditional "Island 3" space colony design, reinforced with a central axial shaft, and the colony cylinder is attached to a mining asteroid which serves as a source of raw materials.
