When you go to school, what do you see? The students of Dawneri High may look like normal teenagers on the surface, but all have a secret to hide. Whether they're in possession of a dark past or an even darker power, it's safe to assume that none of them could class as normal. Daemons, Vampyres, Lycans and Humans alike walk the halls, equals in school but rivals in the light of moon. Daemons have control over the elements and the earth, their power is strongest when they work together, apart they are still not to be underestimated. They are much like humans, they eat and sleep, but their powers give them all odd traits which set them apart from normal people. Most try to fit in and feed off blood packs that are bought for them by the coven in which most live, others tend to rebel. The teenage Vampyres are not old enough or strong enough to hunt alone, and most are morally against the killing of humans in New York - well, innocent humans anyway. Lycans have perhaps the most difficult abilities to hide, their senses are keen like that of their spirit wolf, but they have no control over their transformations in the light of the moon. They look to their pack alpha's to control them and to keep them in line. Humans, ah yes, the humans. They are not as normal as you might think. The humans that attend Dawneri High are quite aware of their creature-of-the-night friends. Very few have the desire to wander into the path of immortality themselves, they are the descendants of hunters, of witches, sorcerors. They have their own abilities, they might not be as strong as their classmates but they are by no means normal or defenceless. The students co-exist quite peacefully in the light of day, but at night they must be bound by the rules of their families and covens, by the laws set down by their ancestors. There are no alliances when the school day ends, each species keeps to themselves, but when they do clash it is often with violent consequences. Even with the alliances of their children, it is difficult for the Elders to change their ways. But now there may be more reason than ever for alliances to be built. The humans in the school may not be dangerous, but there are some that remember the ways of their forefathers, when such creatures were hunted and destroyed. A rogue creature has been killing innocents in New York, and for the humans that means one thing - all the immortals must be destroyed. So now the innocent covens have a choice, they can face their executions at the hands of humans and rogue creatures, or they can join together to find the culprit and defend their families. The night may be darkest before the dawn, but will that dawn soon be stained with the blood of innocents?
