Margaret Elisa Lisbon![]() Student Age: 17 Height: 5’5 Weight: 133 Build and Carriage: Slender with gentle curves Hair Color and Style: Rusty red in color and a few inches past her shoulder blades in length. Usually it is worn swept up and as large as physically possible. Eye Color: Grey Race/Ethnicity: Caucasian Complexion: Pale white Indepth Description: Margaret has a straight nose and high cheek bones that give her face a rather angular look. She has full, naturally red lips but she doesn’t shy away from the use of rogue and a little color for her cheeks. Her neck is long and thin which is attractive, but she is a little thin to be truly considered perfect. Her body is not naturally extremely curvy, but with the proper corset she can bring out what she has. Margaret has a keen sense of edgy, new fashions. If it has been worn before, she wouldn’t be caught dead in it. Country of Origin: England Date of Birth: April 16th, 1887 Parents: -Peter Allen Lisbon -Elisa Marie Lisbon (maiden name; Williams) Siblings and other relatives: -Penelope Moore (elder sister; 26; married) -Edna Swanton (elder sister; 24; married) -Mabel Lisbon (elder sister; 22; graduate of Pennington) -Greta Lisbon (elder sister; 20; recent graduate of Pennington) Close Friends: Character History: Peter Allen Lisbon was born in London to an outrageously wealthy family. His first toy was a silver baby rattle and he never wanted for a moment from the moment of his birth, even his mother’s pregnancy was extremely comfortable and pampered. Not far away and a few short years later in Bath, Elisa Marie Lisbon was being born in similar luxury. Elisa grew up with everything that a girl could possibly want, but the pampered life that she led was emotionally barren and she was a very lonely girl. Elisa’s mother was a graduate from Pennington Academy so it was only natural that she attend the school, she went through various phases at school. Some days she went from completely withdrawn to rebelliously wild in a matter of hours, her moods seemed completely out of sync and were barely controllable. After graduation, Elisa entered London society where she met Peter, a rich socialite with nothing important to do but entertain himself. Their romance was brief and not particularly passionate; Peter’s mother pushed him in the direction of Elisa and moved the engagement along with considerable force. Peter was never really employed in any real job, he had enough money to live on without a career so he spent his time trying to fill his time with recreation and good times. Children came in due time to the couple, Peter waited and waited for a son to be born but was disappointed by girl after girl after girl. The young couple’s stylish London dwelling soon filled with young girls but there was not one boy. Peter’s disappointment was obvious because he had never been denied anything before and this was simply unheard of, he made this no secret from his wife. Elisa, who had never been stable emotionally, didn’t take this criticism lightly. She began to become more and more reclusive and unstable, the girls soon learned to avoid their mother whenever a strange mood was coming on. Unfortunately as time passed the moods became more and more frequent until Elisa was no longer recognizable as the woman that she had once been. To make matters worse, Peter began to see another woman. It had been common knowledge among the upper class of London that Peter was a bit of a womanizer, but never before had he so openly flaunted his relationship with another woman. The woman was an Irish widow named Christine Boyle and she was heartless as far as Elisa was concerned, she made special efforts to make sure that Elisa knew what she was doing with her husband. Perfumed love notes were written and sent to Elisa and Peter’s door and Peter bought Christine expensive clothes and took her to parties that he refused to take Elisa to. Christine made no effort to conceal where the gifts were coming from; in fact, she made sure that Elisa knew exactly what was going on. Elisa was deeply affected by this and she became more and more distraught, she became so upset that one day she followed Christine Boyle to her home and had a fist fight on the street in front of Christine’s house. The street fight made top gossip news in London and then the scandal was worsened by Elisa’s appearance at an expensive cocktail party that Peter and Christine were attending, dressed in nothing but rags and screaming like a lunatic. After this outrage, Peter sent his wife to a small cottage near Newcastle. For the appearance’s sake, the family tells people that city life was getting to her and she needed a vacation. However, her vacation has lasted for over six years and shows no sign of ending. During this time, and the time before when her moods made it impossible for Elisa to mother, the eldest daughter, Penelope took over the task of taking care of the other four girls. She was rather stern because she was so young and didn’t want to make a single mistake with her younger sisters. The other girls minded her very well, they were very cooperative overall, but Margaret, the youngest, was always out of control. She was always creating mischief and looking for the next adventure or party, the other girls just didn’t know what to do with her. Margaret was a favorite of her father because she was so outgoing and talkative compared to her sensible sisters so he was very lenient in regards to her mischievous ways. He selected her as a travel companion, taking her with him on trips to Paris and Brussels and Madrid, even New York. At age fifteen, Peter brought Margaret with him on an archeological dig in Turkey. They didn’t have much training and weren’t exactly skilled at their work but they had the money so the true archeologists had to tolerate their antics. They went whale watching in Iceland and she was taken to operas in Rome and art galleries in Paris. When she was sixteen he brought her with him on a month long hunt in Africa where she shot a kudu by herself. Her sisters were always jealous of her close relationship with their father and the fact that she not only spoke to Christine Boyle but also had a fairly good relationship with her because Christine often accompanied them in their travels. However, Margaret was too young to realize how truly distraught her mother was over Peter’s betrayal so all she sees when she looks at Christine is just another woman. This has driven a wedge between her and her sisters, Mabel is only the only sister that she is close to and even that relationship can be slightly strained at times. As daughters of a Pennington graduate, it was only natural that they all attended Pennington when they came of age. Every one of Margaret’s sisters has graduated from Pennington and it was unquestioned that Margaret should attend the school as well. She always found school to be rather dull compared to traveling with her father and living in fast paced society in London, but she has survived thus far and finds some things to enjoy about the school. Personality: Margaret is very social and outgoing, she prides herself on having many friends and social contacts. However, she has chosen quantity over quality when it comes to friends, she has so many that she has to split her time between many people and thus she can’t be very close to any one of them. This is probably good though because she has such a short attention span that she would probably tire of having only one or two friends around. Margaret is an adventurer at heart; she is always on the go, always trying to find something new and exciting to do. Her energy is endless and her enthusiasm for life unlimited when she is in the mood, but she suffers from the same moodiness that had haunted her mother. For the most part she is friendly and outgoing, but occasionally she only wants to lie in her bed for hours and stare at the wall for hours on end. These moods are bad but usually short lived, they pass and she is back with her zest for life fully restored. The quintessential socialite, Margaret loves parties and adventures above everything else. If it is not exciting, then she is not interested. Margaret likes taking risks and she is automatically drawn to other people who are risk takers. However, Margaret has never been particularly academic. She has trouble reading and writing, though she speaks with certain grace and openness that would never suggest her dislike of academia. Strengths: -Socializing -Taking risks/adventuring -Style and fashion Weaknesses: -Academics -Being truly close to others Interests: -Socializing -Adventuring -Partying -Doing anything exciting, fresh, or new Pet Peeves: -Dull people -Obligations and duties that prevent one from adventuring -Having to sit still for too long Quirks: -Extreme moodiness -Can mimic most accents, which is a great party trick -Being nosey and getting into the business of others Skills: -Choosing clothing -Making friends -Throwing parties and attending parties -Making mischief Sample Post:
