Anita Jennifer Wilkes, also called Annie![]() Student Age: 17 Height: 5'7" Weight:130 Build and Carriage: sometimes a slouch but only when she is concentrating or pacing as she's writing. But when she is not writing Annie has a a fire inside that is shown through her carriage, usually a tall stance and a speedy walk. She is fairly curvy with long skinny legs that sometimes give her the unfortunate nickname of Chicken Legs. Hair Color and Style: Brown hair, a slight blond tinge to it. She usually keeps it up out of her face though isn't too particular about the style. She could care less about such matters. Eye Color: Dark brown Race/Ethnicity: Caucasian Complexion: Fair skinned, some freckles Indepth Description: Annie is not your typical girl and doesn't look it either. Though she feels she is plain she has a passion that sets her apart from the others around her. That passion shines through and makes her appear less plain than she really is. She has an electric smile that is especially thrilling when she is ecstatic. She doesn't care much for the real state of fashion and considers herself too much of a free spirit to notice. She would much rather wear men's trousers and try to get away with it when she can. Though when she has to wear appropriate dresses because of her family's state of wealth, she usually gets hand me downs and not in too flattering of color either. She is spritely almost with energy and is constantly doing something, always too excited to sit still. Country of Origin: America Date of Birth: 8/7/1885 Parents: Richard and Berneatha Wilkes Siblings and other relatives: Jonathon Wilkes (6), Maria Wilkes (16) Close Friends: none yet at the school, but at home several Character History: Annie was born like many in the States to a poor family. Yet though they were poor they held values and were very close to each other. Her mother worked hard in a clothing factory and her two daughters tried hard to school their younger brother from an early age. Annie had been a very sick child, almost feared to be dead in her early years. She seemed to contract whatever was around and was prey to the ever constant disease of the measles and even the mumps at times. Though she pulled out of it even then and gained the strength to carry on in her older years. It was then that her mother knew ,that little Annie was not the type of girl to take things from anyone. She was hard to keep after even as a child, always on the run and in and out about the house. She would constantly run and seek her own adventures and couldn't seem to understand why she would be looked at strange for her behavior. Her mother was a little dismal about her daughter's free spirit though her father seemed to encourage it when he was at home from his job at the train station. He would constantly write home and encourage his family even when they hadn't as much as they should. Though their mother was not as supporting. She favored her son and Maria more than her daughter Annie. In fact, she tried hard to reform her daughter by sending her off to a boarding school. Annie embraced the idea of education. She was thrilled that her mother had even tried to settle her down and had saved so much money. Annie only wanted the education and had no thoughts in mind to actually listen to what anybody told her to do. She would succeed the best she could in writing and go somewhere. Though she wouldn't be what her mother wanted. She would be nothing of the sort. In fact, she swore that she would come back better than she had before. She would never be the same again. She would prove herself in society as a highly intelligent woman and a force to be reckoned with. She still hopes for the best in her education though has trouble fully listening to the teachers. She hates those fellow students who are snooty and tends to want to teach them a lesson. This gets her in more trouble than she should and she doesn't seem to fully learn that. She will never be fully a lady but has gotten better about her boundaries. She won't completely embarrass herself in an event though she won't guarantee that she will hide herself in ruffles and lace either. Personality: Annie is an unbridled spirit, thrilled with the aspect of adventure and creativity. She refuses to keep quiet and will always make sure she is heard. She can be very stubborn and strong willed to a fault. This can be a hard weakness for her when she doesn't understand what is best for her. She has respect for some leaders in the school however and always lets them know of it when she is around them. She is constantly energetic and almost bubbly at the chance of learning something new. She always writes every night and hopes to better her writing still further by being in school. Though sometimes she can not even see past her own mistakes in writing and considers her own opinion to be more worthy than that of the teacher when she is highly offended. THough she is high spirited she is also a good friend. She is wonderful at distracting and encouraging friends when they don't feel as well and has an incredible imagination. Strengths: ~Her imagination, it's huge and unbridled ~Strength ~Courage ~Loyalty ~Gentleness Weaknesses: ~Stubbornness ~Butting heads ~Not taking as much criticism as she should ~Going too fast for anyone else and not understanding why they can't keep up ~Getting into more than she can handle Interests: ~Writing ~Dreaming ~Exploring the world Pet Peeves: ~Snooty women who care nothing but about fashion ~Men who think they're better than anyone else ~People who try to change her when she won't be changed Quirks: ~Wiggling her nose when she's thinking ~Biting her quill ~Rocking back and forth on her toes Skills: ~Writing big dramas ~Acting ~Some music though she doesn't believe she's as good ~Sports Sample Post: Fascinating, simply fascinating. It was times like these she was glad she had protection outside but at the same time she almost wanted to be alone with him. Almost. No way, Dr, don't go there. That was just creepy thinking she wanted to be close to this guy. He was definitely interesting and that was something and he had a knack for making her laugh. She almost forgot he probably had killed hundreds of people to end himself up in here and had probably terrorized towns for the worst part of years. but she almost forgot those horrors when she could burst into laughter for no apparent reason. She really did miss laughing just for the sake of it and wondered why he could have that power over her. Perhaps it was because she had never seen anything like him before even in the text books. No class had ever prepared her for this kind of man. Then again she was pretty sure no one ever would if they'd ever thought to look at him twice. No matter how many shivers he sent down her spine, still she wanted to spend time with and he seemed to like their conversations. She wasn't sure if she should be flattered or not by that. She did look like she had been struck in the face as he said something about her name. No she had never really liked it either but honestly...to even go so far as calling her a would be Harlot. She felt his eyes upon her and she almost shuddered. no. She mustn't let him know that he might have control here. That was dangerous. instead of looking more offended, she went back to charts and attempted to look busy at them until he went on. She twitched a little, making a senseless doodle beside his name. She was shocked soon enough to realize that she had doodled a heart by his first name. Quickly, she scratched her pen through it in hopes that would never be discovered. What on earth was she thinking? Phew. She only hoped he hadn't noticed in his weird state. Then he mentioned something about his nick name and started playing around in his cell. She had never seen such a ridiculously happy prisoner in all her life and station as a psychiatrist and this madness of his was probably what attracted her in the first place to the man. She realized that she was laughing aloud, not just a chortle or a snicker, a full fledged laugh. She hadn't laughed like that in years and she had no idea why he was making her laugh as he was. Perhaps it was the nickname Jackanape that set her off or maybe the crazy antics in his cell. She could never tell anymore. But she was still laughing wordlessly, clutching at her uniform to try and catch a breath. Shaking her head, she finally calmed down and wiped a laughing tear from her eye. "Oh no. Certainly not..but you didn't answer my question. That's what I'm here for." She said still breathless with excitement. She almost looked forward to their meetings. He filled something in her that she hadn't even known was empty before and that was astonishing to her. "Come on now, Mr. Napier. Is that what you'd like me to call you? Please, just call me..Quin." She left out what she normally said. That's what my friends call me. Better leave that out so he wouldn't think too full of himself. "Anyhow, why do you think you're here, Mr. Napier?"
