Madeline Maria Conrad![]() Student Age:16 Height:5'4" Weight:160 lbs Build and Carriage: Quite well fed. At least it's a proper image for a woman of her status. Hair Color and Style: Auburn brown - worn down at times, but she thinks that she's grown - so she wears it in pompadours during special events. Eye Color: Dark Brown Race/Ethnicity:Caucasian - Of English Heritage...with a secret Complexion:Fair - though she can secretly tan with a bit of work Indepth Description: To the average person, one would think that Madeline is a proper English beauty. She looks a bit more mature than her simple 16 years, though that is really due, at times, to no fault of her own. Her face, however, holds a charm similar to that of a Mediterranean woman - Italian at best, and a Moor at worst. Her thick eyebrows are very well shaped over her large eyes, which give her quite the smoldering appearance. Her nose is thin, and almost Grecian in it's characteristics. Madeline's mouth is small and thin - and usually not adorned in anything offensive like lipstick. Her shape is quite solid - though corsets help to give her the lovely S-bend shape. She appears as a woman of noble origins - well-fed and seemingly never wanting much at all. Her clothing matches her background - made of sumptuous fabrics with lovely designs. Country of Origin:English, though secretly with Egyptian Origins. Date of Birth: April 5th, 1888 Parents:Earl Archibald Conrad, Miss Alice Conrad (nee Gould) Siblings and other relatives: Elsie (10) Close Friends: none ATM Character History: The Earl and his lady met in England. She, was a woman with American heritage. A wealthy American socialite - who was among those few girls wanting to marry a man for his title. He was a man of modest means - though not nearly as wealthy as many of the other men of his age group and rank. It was completely possible for a man of nobility to be poor, and it was quite trendy to marry a man simply to gain a rank. So, with enough work from her parents and by his decision, the two were married, though not long after having only spoken a few words to each other - the American Socialite and the English Earl. And with her, the money became plentiful. His lifestyles became lavish. The clothing became better. Repairs started to happen to his estate. Things were finally improving. As their state improved, his often sour mood would improve at times too. Madeline was conceived during one of her father's good moods. She was born on a sunny April Day. Of course, The Earl was well aware of his wife's Egyptian blood, and while not pleased by that, it seemed that they would have been recessive enough to where they wouldn't rear their ugly heads in his own daughter - that she would possess the light hair and light eyes of her mother. Still, much to his chagrin, as Madeline grew up, she looked too foreign for his liking. He mistreated the poor girl, making her feel as though she was less than. While she was loved and spoiled by her mother, she was treated as though she as a second class citizen by her father. From then on, there was no more love to be made between the married couple. No more children were to be born from the Countess's womb. But people were talking. So, to run a game over those of their social groups - Countess Alice remained confined to her home for several months. They hired a man to take an attractive, light-eyed and beautiful brown haired child from a poor mother - and that they would live a new life with the Conrad Family. It was then that the Earl was pleased with his little Elsie. Elsie was spoiled by both her mother and father - which earned Madeline's ire. From then on, she began to take out her woes on the much younger child. Madeline was enrolled into Pennington after she finally offended her father. At the age of 11, he sent her away, displeased with her behavior and just her very face. It was due only to his station that Madeline was accepted. However, due to her traumatizing childhood, it has affected her behavior tremendously. Personality: Simply put, Madeline is a snob. She's a very elitist woman, and is always caught up on her appearances. She never actually respects too many people at all - and she is the epitome of a social climber, even in spite of her origins as relatively high-ranking nobility. She operates only within certain circles, and always watches those of her group with increasing distrust. She always looks out for her own interests, and only cares about upholding her own name. Selfish and uncharitable are things that she tends to be. She doesn't like to give to people at all. If she were forced to choose between a better world or keeping others in poverty, she'd chose the latter without a second thought. She's classist, and prejudiced in so many ways. Still, what helps her case is that she's so artificial and fake. She can easily hold a conversation with a person, though not without trying to patronize them. She sees everyone as beneath her, and people who aren't, well. surely she's trying to usurp them in power, or at least join them. When it comes right down to it, Madeline is a woman who is driven by fear. This is practically her motivation for everything. She is terrified of being ostracized or rejected. She has always kept her Egyptian roots to a minimum, and despises her mother's relatives because she feels that they have tainted her bloodline. She behaves as English as much as possible, and even tries to believe that she is. Strengths: Fashion Conversation Doing her own hair Commanding Others Leadership Weaknessses: Being genuinely kind to people Thinking of others before herself Mathematics Reciprocating Respect. Interests: Teas Clothing English Society The Royal Family Pet Peeves: Americans. Period. Rude girls Girls that are too skinny Those who do not pay any mind to conventions and unspoken rules. Quirks: Brushes her hair. To the point of insanity and obsession. Skills: Spreading Rumors Drawings Dancing Lying Sample Post:
