Med Kit in kitchen for slaves to use Medications bottle of paga for antiseptic kanda leaves ...for bad pain ...chew 1 leaf do not swallow or can be toxic kanda salve...numbs pain and heals green powder....in tea or sprinkle on wound for healing antibiotic effects Willow bark for pain killer and fever tea Supplies tweezers scissors pliers tubing for chest tube or tracheotomy trocar like ice pick...to open punctured lung pre-threaded needles: curved and straight with dissolvable gut cauterizing iron or wand with extra energy cells folded clean rep-cloths rolled bandages rep cloth and silk cauterizing iron or wand with extra energy cells physician's tape small metal snap clips for securing bandages Medical serve..... to all Yellow and red silk as well as Healers 1. Assist patient to the chairs or furs beside them....(a boy/girl will tend their own Master/Mistress, chain sisters/brothers help with others as needed........if conflicting orders or commands are given by Masters/Mistresses that differ from the first girls orders...please post...Master/Mistress...this slave was assigned to tend so and so...Would You like this slave to attend someone else instead? 2. if a do not know..ask what wounds need tending remove clothing as necessary..cover with soft fur...be careful to protect a Mistresses' modesty ....put up furs or something 3. offers kanda ...if pain is bad but not if the Master has to fight again as can cause halucinations so may offer healing or willow tea instead 4. bathe open wounds with antiseptic paga or pour on rence cloths to pat the wound clean 5. apply layer of numbing kanda salve to the wound edges 6. if blades remain in the wound...use a rence cloth or pliers from the med kit to pull it free...inspect the wound afterwards for bleeding and fragments..use the tweezers (after dipping them in paga or antiseptic) if needed to remove them 7. apply pressure to the wound with a repcloth to slow the bleeding.... 8. stitch as necessary ...see wound care 9. if there is bruising or muscle strain..massage with ointment and offer ice pack.... 10. get restorative broth from firepit if lots of blood loss ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Burns are treated with salve and dressed only if deep Broken bones.....to be sure to set by jerking then run finger along the bone to be sure is straight......and apply a splint so can not move for a few days Bruising.....or muscle strain..massage with ointment and offer ice pack.... Choking....get behind the patient and reach around with both hands at abdomen.........quickly jerk back and up.....in diaphragm....this will force lots of air out and make the patient to cough out stuck object....if not see Tracheotomy Wound Care.....detailed and severe 1. if there is any active bleeding form torn or cut veins take a cauterizing iron from the Med Kit and lay it over the bleeding vessel to sear it shut....if artery is what is bleeding...(spurting blood out)then that must be carefully stitched back together first ..with fine curved needle and fine gut suture 2. stitching...use small fine even stitches try not to pucker the skin....then tie off each single stitch to prevent one from being ripped and loosening others 3. wipe away the blood with antiseptic soaked cloth..sprinkle with green powder if needed and then layer on antiseptic kanda salve... this is all that is done for wounds that don't require stitches 4. wounds that require stitching need to be bandaged....a thick layer of clean rep cloth ...wrap snuggly with silk bandages 5. change bandages daily.......for the one or at most three days for serious injury 6. Stitches are to remain dry..healing will occur in half the time |
