I'd never seen Aussie rules football before, but I do believe I could really be a fan. That was just freakin' awesome! Those guys are true athletes. |

Most Americans I introduce to the game can't believe that they can bounce the ball. It's the same as your football except it's a little more rounded at the ends. I can't watch your football. Too many stoppages. It seems to be all stop-start. And then they totally change the team when the opposition gets the ball. I'll stick with the Aussie version. I'm sure yours is a great game, I just don't understand it.

I've been a football fan since I was a kid. I *played* football on the school team when I was in 7th grade. I got kicked off the team, though. The quarterback told me I ran like a girl (and I was a bonafied tomboy), so I walked up to him and broke his nose with my helmet.... There are too many ways to get a penalty in American football. That's why it's always stop-start. I'll tell you, though, that college football is much better than pro. Those guys are playing to attract scouts, and they put it all out there. |

They have an Aussie Rules Football League in the U.S. I'll see if I can find out if there's a team in Arkansas. You might be able to go see a few games. They won't be up to the standard of the professional teams here but it would give you an idea of what the games like.
