Kurt smiled at Finn, unlocking the front door as he did so. "No problem, Finn - I understand how much stress you and Quinn must be under, and if I can help out with getting rid of some of that stress, even by doing something as small as helping with English homework, then I'll do so."

He opened the door to the house and led Finn inside, dropping his keys off on the counter and hanging up his coat. "So, where do you want to work on homework? Up here? Downstairs? You pick, alright?" He said, and started to dig in the fridge for something to drink. "Are you thirsty?"

He followed him inside, really grateful for everything. He knew that he could count on Kurt, perhaps as much as he could count on Rachel, when it comes to things like this. He smiled at him gratefully.

"Um, let's stay up here so I can see if it's getting dark already. I told my mom I'd be home in time for supper," Finn smiled, shaking his head at the offer of a drink. Finn pulled out his books and a pen, ready to tackle some of the homework in English. He hated it. And the fact that their teacher was being such a hassle didn't help him much either. At the moment, academics was the last thing he wanted to think about.

He broke the silence, asking Kurt, "Oh, would you mind helping with some Math too? I mean, what's the deal with Mr. Sears. He's been such a pain lately. Him and Ms. Rimmington."

Kurt nodded, closing the fridge and walking over to Finn sitting at the table with his books open, cracking open his Diet Coke as he sat down at the table. Finn asked him about math homework, talking about Mr. Sears and Ms. Rimmington, and he sighed. "I have no idea what's wrong with them either. They obviously don't understand that kids our age have other, more important things to do than homework all the time. Especially you and Quinn..." Kurt said, stopping himself mid-sentence. "Uh... Anyways," He hastily said, reaching down for his backpack and digging around in there. "I can definitely help you with some math as well. What is it you need help with?" He dragged his math and English textbooks up onto the table, opening them and picking up his pen, tapping it lightly against the open textbooks.

Finn nodded. There was definitely something wrong with the teachers. It's like they think they're the most important thing. Like students like himself didn't need clubs, or sleep, or girlfriends, or video games. Finn rolled his eyes, opening his book up to the page they were discussing earlier in class. He sighed, hoping that he would understand this nonsense soon.

Two hours later of intense Math and English lessons, Finn was beat. He finally shut his book on the principles of calculus and rolled his eyes, gently rubbing them to keep himself awake.

I'm heading straight to the nurse tomorrow.

He yawned, wiping a little drool that slowly began to drip, and glanced at the wall clock in front of him.

"So, I can still stay for another half-hour. You wanna hang out first?" Finn asked him, but then sort of felt embarrassed about it. "I meant, I can head home now if you're busy or something."

Raising his arms above his head and stretching, Kurt looked at Finn as he spoke. "Oh, I'm not busy at all, so you're free to stay if you'd like." He said, smiling. With a small yawn of his own, he closed up his books, stashing them back in his backpack and zipping it up. "What do you want to do, then?" He asked. He could definitely tell that Finn was a little worn out, what with everything going on around him - which made complete sense to Kurt - so he thought that perhaps just a little bit of hanging out with someone might make a difference.

He smiled, thanking Kurt. "I dunno. We could just talk. I don't have anyone to talk to at home since mom's always working."

Finn slumped his head unto the desk and stared at Kurt blankly, not knowing what to talk about with him. They had very little in common, and it made small talk hard. He couldn't talk to him about football, or girls. Even their taste in music was different. And Finn wouldn't be able to understand conversations about clothes, even if he tried.

Bolting himself back to an upright position, he asked Kurt, "So...How are you and Luke?"

Kurt watched as Finn rested head on the table, staring at him. He tried to think of something to say, something to break the silence, but couldn't think of anything, and was glad when Finn took it upon himself to do so.

"Oh, uh..." Kurt said, his cheeks turning bright red at Finn's question. After their excursion at the beach, things had never been better between him and Luke, but he wasn't exactly ready to tell his ex-crush about what had happened between him and his boyfriend. "We're doing really well, to be honest." He said simply, smiling to himself. He crossed his arms, resting them on the tabletop and leaning against them. "How are things with you and Quinn?" He asked tentatively, unsure whether that was a touchy subject or not.

Finn smiled at the mention of him and Luke. Finn was genuinely happy for them. I mean, they deserved to be with someone who they care about and it seems like they were a perfect match. "That's great about you and Luke!" He laughed as Kurt blushed slightly.

Finn smiled again at the mention of him and Quinn. Right now, he was happy with Quinn. Things were great between them and they, well, he, for the most part of it, was excited for the baby.

"We're great. Still kinda freaking out about the baby, but in a good way, you know. It's great too at how this whole thing turned Quinn, you know? She used to be so uptight and everything. Now, she's more relaxed, in a way. Though we still haven't told our parents yet. We're both freaking out about that. Especially Quinn. Her parents are scary."

As Luke pulled his car into the driveway, Kurt could already feel his legs start to shake, and he squeezed Luke's hand, needing to know that he was there as he stared down at his shoes. "So." Kurt said, sighing. "How do we go about this? Do... do we tell him right away? Or do we wait until later?" He knew that telling him right away was probably the best idea, but... As much as he tried to convince himself of that, putting it off until later was quite tempting.

Luke squeezed Kurt's hand back, letting him know that he wasn't going anywhere. "I think telling him right away will be best..ya know, get everything out in the open. Right?" He smiled softly, the idea of waiting till later sounding better but..he knew they should just get this out. "Come on hun.." He whispered, leading Kurt into the doorway, looking around for any sign of his dad.
