![]() I finally figured out how to create a nice water texture in Blender, and I thought a conue would go nicely with the new water I created. You can download the .zip file which includes the stock I used to texture the conue, and the .blend file, which is the Blender project file, and you can see how it was created. |

I like the soft ripply effect of the water but the boat shadow looks off to me.Like the boat is hovering over the water rather than floating in it. |

The water is made by a plane, and the boat was designed with a bunch of cubes, and it's right above the plane, if I put it any lower the water would've been in the boat. I'm still messing with ways to make water so I can get better results for a future project. |

Split the plane into 2, and add and adjust vertices until you get a boat-shaped hole in the middle of it. Problem solved. |
