Posted Image Posted Image These first two are Trumpet Lilies. I have to say my very favorite lilies. They're huge! About 4' tall, the flowers a good 6-8", and intensely fragrant. Posted Image This oddity is a daylily called "Mrs. Peacock". Gary & Susan Smith gave it to me last year at the Rendevous. Actually, I begged it off of them. They told everyone, "If you want something, we'll dig it up." I have a lot of daylilies, so they didn't really have that much different than what I have. Until I saw this one. It's a spider type (long slender petals) and the flower is huge! Gary kinda flinched when I asked for it b/c he hadn't it for long himself. But he had a good sized plant and I just took 2 little plantlets off the side. Barely made a dent in his. |
