Wait when using the pencil tool you have to manually get rid of each pixel of background? Wouldn't that take forever?

If you don't want to waste time getting rid of the pixels individually, you can also feather the image, but that can often remove some parts that you don't want removing, so its basically a tough decision between wanting a perfect looking image, or one thats not quite perfect, but done quickly :P

There are other methods (and some image editors are getting really good at feathering almost perfectly), but these would be the two that I know how to do (and choose not to do, because other people are greater than me at rendering :P)

Couldn't you just feather by a smaller amount? Default is 5 but I find if you lower it to 1 or 2 it seems to rid the border pretty good. But your right, it wouldn't be perfect most likely.
