I've been indoor rock climbing before. I didn't really like it that much. It wasn't bad or anything though.
yeah I go indoor and i might go out door later this month. I like it, it builds your muscle.
Well the harness is definitely rather awkward, and then you've gotta have a partner, which you have to depend on... also I think it's just a little bland personally.
You get used to harness and if you have a reliable partner it takes away any ear and its fun since it somewhat cooperative. Once you get into it it feels good to nail a hard course.
Yeah, I think the stuff we were doing was pretty easy. But yeah I was the guy letting the rope through or what not before and then he fell so we were both like swinging like 5 feet in the air.
XD i can see why you wouldn't like it much after that
Hey, what's not to like about all your weight being distributed over 2 straps at your groin while flailing around in the air.
Its not just 2 little straps around your groin your supported by the rope and not to mention your harness is wrapped tightly around your waist. Your not really supposed to be flailing in the air while rock climbing anyway =P Lol, yeah we figured that out XD. All and all I don't really plan on going rock climbing again, and not because of that. I just didn't find it to be exciting really, like if we didn't have harnesses then it would have been way more thrilling... and deadly... To me the simple act of climbing up the rock wall and having to sometimes stretch to awkward positions wasn't that appealing, no knock on you if you like it though.

Well we all have are own opinions. and to day if you were going to rock climbing again their are specific routes called "bouldering" routes in which you climb up a specific path but with no rope to support you, you also don't go as high on the wall. I myself have been into bouldering more than roping lately
