Hello, Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, the Fortnite streamer whose popularity has skyrocketed in recent months, is making over $500,000 a month from Twitch. According to CNBC, via Eurogamer, Blevins is pulling in over half a million dollars a month from a combination of sources, but the lion's share of his income comes from Amazon Prime and Twitch Prime subscriptions. According to Blevins a recent promotion granting Prime subscribers in-game loot in Fortnite is "one of the main reasons for the influx of subscribers." Blevins also cites a high level of skill and fun atmosphere as reasons for his channel's widespread appeal. "I think I offer high-tier gameplay [viewers] can't get with a lot of other content creators" he said, "I'm very goofy. I do impressions, and just crazy shenanigans. The combination of that, it's a hybrid. It's just really fun to watch and a pretty positive environment as well." When asked what he is doing with the impressive influx of money, Blevins said, "Definitely investing and saving it as much as possible. I don't plan on doing anything crazy with it right now. Me and my wife are sponsoring an animal every month." Blevins cautions those who would follow in his footsteps against putting all their eggs in the streaming basket. "I maintained my job I was working... and stayed in college while I was doing all these things," he said. "I continued to do well in school and focus on the future of my life as well.
