Now I run windows vista, I have for a few months, have run countless games and applications on it and haven't run into a problem. It is completely user friendly in my opinion. And i hate when random people bash it and can't back it up. Do i prefer it over XP? No im indifferent, im just saying i don't think theres a thing wrong with it.

Enjoy your excessive memory and hdd usage then. Also, I've heard so many accounts of compatibility problems...

Yeah I've heard that too but i haven't had any problems yet. I have quite a few programs and like 10 games installed. No issues, maybe though, i don't know.

It's a RAM hog, in comparison to XP. I hate the user account security things, which can be turned off, thankfully. Some programs such as games don't work on Vista. Some things, specifically older things can take a VERY long time to open on Vista. For instance I could open the Wolfenstein installer on my old XP in about 30 secs, on Vista it takes 10 minuets or so before it finally pops up. I also don't like how Vista tries to Windowsize some of the mac stuff. Vista looks nicer than XP. Vista has DirectX 10. Vista can play Vista only games; which is why I'll stick with Vista. All and all I guess I kinda like Vista better but not really. It's not like PS2 compared to PS3, where PS3 dominates in every respect, except rumble. Vista has a bit of an edge on XP. Not a whole lot, but it's there none the less.

I like Vista very much. Vista is very cool. I don't know why people don't like Vista. I have never had XP, but I think that for general gamers, Vista is the way to go.

Took me more like 15 to get the installer going and like 5 for the manual patches.

Some people think MAC is godlike, i don't think it's anything special either. I like some things about Vista, and I Also dislike some things. Same for XP

Mac is a far better system. It just lacks things like good games really.
