Yea, if there's lot's of gore and stuff, it'll definately be rated R.
And Ryan-maybe the producers were just too lazy to make the spell's effects, so they decided to cut some out.
well then they should go die.....
I doubt it was that they were too lazy. It's far more likely that they didn't have enough time or funding.

 Thats true, a lot of plot points from Eregon that carry over to Eldest were left out.....

I think that I would go watch the next one even if it was rated PG, cause i think that it was a good movie, and sometimes the gore and stuff really don't matter. Sometimes...

 i liked the books alot...honestly movie was a let down after getting the full story, you know? i hope they just end it with the first movie
