DSi Piracy Has Launched Nintendo hoped to lockout flashcarts that are commonly used for two things, homebrew and piracy, but one team broke the lockout. The Acekard team has developed a new version of it's Acekard2 called the Acekard2i, which is currently the first and only flashcart to work on the DSi. The Acekard2i works just like any other DS flashcart on the market, you put your Micro SD in, boot it up, and it's ready to go. Although it's the one and only DSi flashcart on the market, this could change either way. If Nintendo can send out firmware updates like it does with the Wii to block flashcarts, then the number could substantially decrease before it even gets a chance to grow. But if other teams can also crack the DSi in time, it could grow. For the record, the Cyclo team has also cracked the DSi, but through extreme means which are unable to the general public for now. ![]() A Picture of the Acekard2i in the DSi's menu Life and death are now flowing through the DSi. While the hope of homebrew using the 256mb's of built in ram and both of the DSi's cameras give it life, the promise of piracy gives it death. Nintendo's hope of stopping piracy, for the moment, is failed. Sources: GBATemp I am definitely trading my normal DS for the awesomeness of the DSi.
