Act I: Order

It began with a cough.

The plague swept through the magical world, affecting not the people directly but their magic. Demons and witches died, but they seemed more resilient to the plague, and so were not wiped out. The Whitelighters were not so lucky. A whitelighter grew sick, visited Heaven to gain a new assignment, and within a year the entire population of Heaven was dead, save for a few lucky survivors. The plague attacked the magic that infused Heaven, and the realm dissapeared from existence. The Darklighters and their realm went a similar way. Tensions rose as every race blamed another for the disease, and the Fairies locked themselves off from the world to avoid the magical plague. A Valkyrie was exposed, and within five months Valhalla had sunk into the sea. The Underworld was soon also infected, and become mostly uninhabitable, before it too dissapeared forever, taking its occupants with it.

The levy broke; Demons who blamed the witches escalated their normal attacks, and the Witches fought back until soon a conflict only describable as a war broke out between them. The Demons at first enjoyed a great advantage, but soon the tide became to turn. A witch coven, neither Good nor Evil, rose to prominence, and their witches, trained much more uniformly, steadily turned the tide and beat back the Demons. They enacted a plan to stop the spread of the disease, and soon a dome of magical energy rose above San Francisco, blocking it magically off from the rest of the world. The magic of the dome was constantly reinforced, and the result was the Plague being unable to get inside the city. The Coven, the Order of the Black Rose, strengthened, and with the demons for the most part defeated, became the prominent authority on magical activity in the city....

That was twenty eight years ago. The city has changed, the Black Rose occupying the strongest bloc of magical power seen in centuries. They have strict laws, and harsh punishments for those who break them. Most of the magical part of the city live in fear. The rest secretly consider treachery, but hesitate to do so. Time moves on.

For years the power of The Rose went unchallenged. Someone would burn every other night, it would seem, for this crime or that. Instilling such fear whilst simultaneously taking away hope gave The Rose all she needed to force the endurance of death upon families and innocents. But no more. Witches have been fed up with the loss of their loved ones yet remain too afraid or powerless to challenge The Rose...until the Rebellion arrives.

Since the beginning there have been minor insults to the Rose's name and of course demons have fought tirelessly to regain some semblance of balance all to gain a little but loose so much more. One being appears and he is hybrid of nature, breaking a few laws simply by existing. This being took it upon himself to challenge the Rose and fight her to a standoff. Needless to say Genevive was none too pleased but she was not afraid.

With the assistance of others this "Rebel Leader" faces off against Genevive in a public domain, a local nightclub that goes by the name of Oz. The owner of this club was not present at the time of the battle where it appeared the Rebel Leader was taking damage. Somewhere in the battle The Rose called for allyship which the Rebel managed to turn on her to make his escape; but the Rose turns to the tables and broadcasts the rebel's face for all to witness and hunt. Unbeknownst to the Rose, the Rebel had featured in his own broadcast, calling for allyship for any who find him.

With both Genevive (The Rose), and the Rebel back at their corners, it's only a wonder what will happen next... As if to show she has the upper hand, The Rose manages to locate one of the Rebel's supporter and burn her to death on live television. Order today, Order tomorrow, Order Forever.

No more deaths. A twisted promise that was shared between two trusting allies. Using her own network, with the aid of a particularly skilled gypsy, Logan managed to hack The Rose's network feed after he failed to storm the castle with the last living Valkyrie, Nzmeralda; and with this feed he goads her into an ambush using several methods to try to dismantle her shield. So powerful was The Rose's magic that it took a vanquishing potion, a bolt of lightning, a telekinetic blast, and another vanquishing potion before the barrier deflated and Logan claimed her heart.

From the group of veterans only a handful could cast spells and it was that handful that recharged the barrier between San Francisco and The Plague with the warning that, should they divide or decay so should their spell.

With the shell restored and their existence no longer compromised, a round table was erected over the death site of The Rose and The Veterans discussed the future that magic will take. In agreement that Magical Artifacts might hold the key to dissipating The Plague, each member set off to achieve an artifact named by the "Rebel Leader" or, of course, to embark on their own pursuits with the knowledge that everyone at the table shall agree to coexist.

Meanwhile The Rose had a plan of her own: to be summoned from the grave by her loyal followers. Unfortunately the single implant had other loyalties and vanquished these witches in a savage, beast-like rage before they could complete their mission. With all the bases covered, a meeting of the surviving members of the war were called a spell was cast; followed, of course, by the summoning and vanquishing of Genevive's spirit to insure that she'd never return.

Soon thereafter a Power Broker surfaced bringing his own version of the Black Market to the city. Word would soon spread of powers being traded in a local shop right of Electra Bank called Power House. The street would soon be lined with customers attempting to appropriate magic and experience it for themselves now that The Rose was not their to punish them for their crimes.

Another member of The Veterans went off and studied the ways of the Dark Congregation and pursued priesthood, practicing spells and potions as a demonic essence without the fear of being burned for it. As fate would have it, he was a natural.

However everything is not as peachy as it seems for even in the unbreakable chains of death The Rose still manages to effect their lives. Logan found a dagger upon Genevive's heartless body and sense the magic emanating from it. Unbeknownst to Logan at the time, this dagger released the Dark One from Genevive's servitude. Preferring allies over servants, Logan released the Dark One into the world with but one rule; the dagger well concealed as per agreement.

With the coming of the Great Plague, a barrier was erected to protect San Francisco, and unknowingly by extension the tomb of the Light One. There Guinevere laid, until the leader of the Order of the Black Rose was slain, and the barrier began to dissipate. Even with the casting of a new one by different magical beings, the Plague had managed to eat away at enough of the enchantments of the tomb for it to collapse, and from it rose Guinevere, First and Only Light One.

Act II: Chaos

One would think that at the end of the world it would be great to have allies, and that proved true...for a time. Three co-existing beings, a dynamic so strong none could match, three sisters unlocked their potential and realized their destiny as the greatest force of good will have ever seen. Though they tried to keep it a secret so many people had began obtaining the ability to see beyond the physical spectrum and into the void to percieve what is to come. In that void there is a light like no other and the Charmed Ones attracted desperate attempts at allies more than a moth to a flame.

After all, who wouldn't want to befriend the strongest witches on the planet? After several failed attempts at producing a barrier spell for the city, Logan began to grow impatient with the fact that the witches would rather let their world end than protect it. With this threat in mind, it is no wonder Logan attacked Daphne and friends on instinct--despite being warned off-- when loyal friend and local Power Broker, Jekkt, goes missing.

Grand entrance coupled with an even more vast display of power provoked the youngest of Charmed sister. Even pinned to her couch whilst her friend appeared to burn, she vehemently refused to reveal the true killer. A small battle ensued. Furniture broke. Dawn looked on in fright until Daphne's opponent appeared as though he were to deliver a lethal blow. Stepping in allows Dawn to pause the battle long enough to reveal the true killer of one of Logan's inner circle, a different member of his inner circle; The Dark One Elizabeth.

After conferring with his inner council he comes to the decision that these 'Charmed Ones' have to be controlled. Logan would be able to exert full control over a being as the Alchemist that he was...if they were dead. No skin off his nose. After communicating with Dawn the witch joined his side and Liam, Dawn, and Logan appeared at the Charmed Manor with the intent on killing one of the sisters. Unfortunately only Danielle was home.

Fighting Danielle would make two fights Logan had in the Halliwell manor in that day. Though Dawn tried to assist she quickly got shut down. When the battle was near over the strangest things happened. Rumplestiltskin appeared, "The Shadowed One," as he is known and demanded that Logan cease his attacks on Danielle or start a war. With Danielle near dead and his plan near complete Logan did not think twice about striking the eldest Halliwell sister to death and inciting another war.

After he is done with Danielle, Logan confronts Elizabeth via neural link demanding reasoning and it is revealed to the former Rebel Leader Logan that the death of one of his most trusted was due entirely to boredom. True confrontation lead both parties to bring reinforcements and soon the Dark One, Charmed One, and Fairy Refugee fought side by side against Alchemist, Dawn, and Stephen. The battle was a ferociously fought one and though Elizabeth was down in the end, Logan lost an ally to her and the Charmed One escaped.
Not satisfied with their battle, the Alchemist Logan and Dark One Elizabeth simultaneously sought one another out; met at the death site of The Rose.

A furious battle was fought, leaving both sides with serious injuries, but Elizabeth knew she could not win. Decided to at least deny Logan the satisfaction, she stabs herself with the Dagger, releasing the Darkness which is then quickly trapped by Logan. The essence seems a lot more unstable however, and Logan does not know how long it can be held for, so he locks it away in Purgatory within a special vial spelled shut and encased with poison. Needless to say it was deemed too dangerous to be near him.

The weather changes. Clouds cover the sky and thunder rumbles in the sky. Several trees were blown down as a spark, dancing blue appeared about six feet in the air at the Park on the edge of the barrier. Energy drew up into the spark, before it rapidly expanded, a large shockwave that broke the sound barrier -and several glass windows in the city- echoing as the portal exploded into life. The Barrier around San Franscisco became visible as the shockwave caused it to flicker momentarily. A figure rolled out of the portal, before as quickly as it appeared it vanished, leaving a discomforting silence in its wake.

Act III: End

A hush falls on the city as the barrier protecting the city from the plague, usually invisible, fades into visibility. The magical beings are not sure what is occurring, and the non-magical population watch, shocked as some sort of shield is revealed to exist around the city. All watch...and then the barrier flickers. And again, before suddenly it begins rapidly shrinking, until it finally stops, flickers once more, and then fades back into invisibility. The few magical beings in the far east of Chinatown and in the forest and San Francisco Park scream in agony as the plague, now no longer contained from these areas, consumes them. They are dead in minutes.

It did not take long for several of those who witnessed the shrinking of the barrier to meet. Klaus Bianchi, middle member of the Rowes called throughout the city telepathically, and several answered his call. Olive the Fairy, the only significant figure from the once great Alliance save Logan himself, the two witches known collectively as the 'Ultimate Power', the woman from another world Alexandria, among others. They came together and a plan was made, one that bore great risk, a plan to attempt to travel to a different reality, like Alexandria had already done. They departed, agreeing to meet in two weeks. Only time would tell if they would survive....

Once more the barrier fades into existence. The magical beings know what is about to happen, and retreat from the edge of the barrier as quickly as possible. A moment later the Earth shakes and the barrier flickers twice, then disappears. Smoke, the visible form of the plague, begins to extend tendrils in where the barrier once existed, and it becomes quickly apparent that this was not the barrier fading back into invisibility. There are moments of tense silence before the Barrier suddenly flickers back in, cutting off the smokey flow. Even so, a significant amount of smoke rises to the top of the barrier. A moment later, all around the city arcs of black lightning strike to ground, leaving craters. Smoke swirls around these craters before out of them rise massive monstrous beings that within moments have begun to shamble towards the centrepoint of the barrier: the former Headquarters of the Order of the Black Rose, the place where the central wardstone of the barrier is housed. The screaming begins.

Time moves quickly, it seems, as the end came all too sudden. One moment a group of higher magical beings are discussing options to combat the Plague when all of a sudden the barrier shatters and gives way to the darkness that's been on the edges of their town for thirty years or so. When all hope seems lost, a woman appears with what happens to be a way to nullify the Plague.

The Source within Logan acts quickly and transports Alexandria and Rowe Family to the former home of The Rose--Olive and Georgianne were left purposefully behind--wherein Alexandria senses the Wardstone immediately. As she bounds to retrieve it, Kai Rowe follows, but the two stragglers catch up. His brothers made their way to follow as well as a creature of The Plague bursts into the home. Rather than dealing with it himself, Logan casually strolls away and summons Kai to his location to defend from this monstrosity.

The battle ensues and those that find themselves unable to fight are quickly and permanently dealt with. The battle inside the house is only one of many in the city, but it the only one that seems to be making any real progress. Though they can't quite kill the monsters they can damage them enough to give Alexandria time to charge, which Kai did at the cost of his life:

The Shambling Monstrosity 's spiked tentacle aims true, and impales Kai right through the chest. Blood bubbles from the dying Warlock's mouth, and a moment later he is slung straight off the tentacle as it whips away. The beast roars, the scent of blood only increasing its animalistic intentions to destroy all.

By this point the Wardstone is halfway charged and only needs that much more from The Source and The Outsider. Whilst they focus on this task, Genesis arrives by Georgianne's side and together form an Ultimate Power of their own. However it is not enough to stop even one creature of The Plague and as if to prove this, The Shambling Monstrosity then claims Genesis' life.

The Shambling Monstrosity does not miss. Its claws slash out, and Genesis is neatly bisected at the waist, the lower half and upper half of her body falling in different directions, the upper half actually falling upon Georgianne. The beast roars in triumph.

It takes nearly twenty minutes to fully charge the crystal and that seems nearly impossible in ten minutes with the behemoth of a monster downstairs and yet they manage to accomplish it. Fortunately for the rest of them the crystal has enough power to do what needs to be done.

The Outsider pulls the crystal-form Trident from her belt, the device lengthening into its true form as she slashes down with it, scratching the crystal with another rune. A memory flashes through her mind, one that she really did not need to see. "Oh god.." she mutters, "This isn't the first time I've done this." She sets aside her horror, and raises the Trident as if to strike down at the crystal.....but that is not the target. No, the trident falls rapidly down to plunge into Logan's body. "I'm sorry." she says as he falls, onto the glowing wardstone. "It takes powerful blood to activate it. It took the blood of my best friend last time, this time it is you."

As Logan fades into death, the wardstone erupts into an even brighter light. Everything goes silent...and then with a massive explosion that immediate vaporises the Headquarters and everything in it San Francisco explodes into light, a massive wave of blue energy rolling out like a shockwave over the city. The fog is dispelled, and in an instant all that is left of the city is smoking ruins. And of the people? Time will tell who survived this destruction.

Act IV: Beginning

Not all survived the detonation of the rigged Wardstone, the 'Sunburst', but those who did woke to find themselves in a new version of San Francisco. Gone was the fear in the streets. Gone was the destruction and gone was the Barrier. The city was vibrant of full of life. Heaven was intact, as was Dark Heaven, the Underworld and Valhalla. The Fairy realm was open. All was well. But the memories of those who survived still exist, and the thought of those lost to reach this point is an unsettling one. The Rowes, all but one dead in the destruction, as is the Ultimate Power. The Outsider is dead, her last act to kill the Source to ensure the plans success. But life goes on, and this universe has its own Charmed Ones....and its own Source, though this demon's identity is the closest secret known to none but themself.

Though The Source of this time has their identity fully under wraps, the same could not be same for The Charmed Ones of this new realm. By the survivors of the other world, their identities were quickly sensed and confirmed as their home seemed to act as a beacon of either hope or power to those who fled the plague, and the spike in power of course called attention to The Source, who sent their own messenger to greet the girls, letting them know that no harm will come to them should they abide by the rules set by The Source. The girls, using the power of three as well as the aided power of the Fairy Refugee, a High Priestess, a vampire/gypsy hybrid and The Shadowed One, they cloaked their home from evil, intent now on finding the identity of The Source before a war between good and evil broke out.

Unfortunately, preventative efforts made by The Charmed Ones could not prevent the slaughter that took place at Quake shortly after at the hands of Vampires, leaving the humans involved dead within minutes, and would have potentially claimed the life of at least one of The Charmed Ones had a percieved family friend of the Warren Line, Lucreatia, not been there to aid. No sooner after this had a Game of Thrones began to ensue, taking the girls down a path of a wild goose chase, with distrust running rampant about. One of the Halliwells, Acacia, (with Anahi soon to follow) found herself with a bounty on her head set in place by a Demon known as Max, whom The Charmed Ones vanquished twice after he failied to produce the identity of The Source.

Their efforts of discovering the identity of the Source led them back to square one of knowing less than they began with, and The Source knowing more than previously. After casting a spell over their home to violently expell those inside, the girls felt a moment of reprieve, taking this time to gather themselves mentally and to start over in their search, ever unaware that the plague from the previous world had not ended it's reign of terror.

The Source had always kept their identity a closely guarded secret, but this was no longer to be the case. When a demon became the Source, they were either consumed by the Source's essence or merged with it. This was not the case for Lucretia Julius Aitius, who did not become Source by design, but out of vengeance against the previous one for the death of her American Clan. Because of this, she always isolated the essence of the Source, and this was not to her benefit. Although she retained her sense of self for years, when the levy finally broke and the Source attempted to absorb Lucretia's sense of self she began losing control. The cold and calculated Vampiress became sloppy and unbalanced, and it was not long until her identity was revealed.

P3 was having a free drinks night, with a famous band set to play. As such, when Lucretia in full Source regalia appeared and began killing people, she was not noticed until at least six had already died. When a series of magical beings in the nightclub, including two Charmed Ones, it was not long before a pitched battle began, ultimately culminating with Lucretia being revealed as the Source and her hand in Anahi's chest. Regaining control of herself for mere moments, Lucretia was able to set in motion a healing spell on Anahi's seriously injured body and hold back the Source for long enough that Acacia could attempt to separate the Vampiress and the Essence of the Source. But alas, by this time the two had merged to closely, and both were vanquished together.

Act V: Rise
In the wake of the death of The Source and the apprehension of the Grimoire, the magical community began finding a sort of peace that had not yet been noted for centuries past. The Source was gone, The Underworld was without leadership, and the forces of good looked as if they were finally headed towards a state of perpetual peace. Though, it didn't take long for the murders of several children to begin causing a spark.

Following the murders, there were whispers that Vampires were beginning to make a power play for the Underworld, having been mobilized by someone claiming to be their Nosferatu. With no Souce to keep them at bay, The Underworld, and soon the surface world, would risk crumbling beneath the weight of the undead and the beasts of the moon.

When the Source was killed, the whole underworld felt the backlash, and knew. And while soon vampire began to rise, so did something else. Lucretia's death destabilised purgatory, as all Sources do upon their death, and usually this is a momentary thing that ends with no bad side effect. Not this time. Purgatory had gained a new addition when those of the plague universe arrived: A small crystal orb containing a primordial Darkness that this world had never known. When purgatory destablised, this essence was able to escape into the void between its former prison and the upperworld, and here the majority of it was once again trapped. But not all of it.

Enough of the Darkness escaped that it was able to latch onto a witch, and as the Dagger of the Dark One, in the possession of one of those that had escaped the plague universe, crumbled into dust, a new one was created for this witch to find. Time passed, and eventually the witch embraced her fate, and was transformed into The Dark One, both to continuation of the old cycle and the beginning of a new one.

With the Vampie whose claimed himself as Leader, Leonardo Espianti, more and more magical beings would find themselves sired and joined to his cause of reclaiming the Underworld, compelled by his charming words and enigmatic nature. It would not be long though, before he would find opposition in the form of a Wizard, an Elder, and eventually, The Charmed Ones. The game of cat and mouse that they played continued for weeks, back and forth skirmishes eventually claiming the life of the Wizard Kane and his mate by consequence.

With the loss of a loose ally The Elder Lucien had found in Kane, he of course turned to The Charmed Ones, namely Adaline, and after some time had passed formed a plan to end this Bastard Vampire's blight upon San Fransisco. With his plan in play, after summoning The Vampire, their fight ended with both The Elder Lucien and The Charmed One Adaline having their heart's ripped out...

...Tell my sisters I'm sorry...

With such a death spike creating a heavy vacuum for the forces of good, The Underworld would find themselves slinking towards the leadership of Leonardo Espianti, the unoficial Nosferatu.
