Martho, thank you for answering the question. DM, I'm assuming your first post on this page was explaining why you didn't answer the question... If I'm right, fair dues.

So let me figure this out.

My best friend saved my life from something. I got my girlfriend pregnant and then she's suddenly not pregnant. I have to kill one of them.

If I kill my best friend, then I owe him two, one for saving my life, one for killing him.

If I kill my girlfriend, pregnant or not, she a girl, and if she's my girlfriend then I must like her a lot, (especially the pregnant part) and thus if I kill her that would be just mean, plus a possible two murders in one.

If I kill myself that would be suicide and not right.

No matter which one, I wouldn't make it to the highest Kingdom in Heaven, thus I wouldn't do anything.

And therefore both your girlfriend who is pregnant, and your best friend die. Which is 4 lives. Which puts you further away from the highest Kingdom of Heaven.

...Stop avoiding the damn question.

Oh, and another point, if I got a girl pregnant, that's bad (my religion) thus I'm already screwed. No matter which one I choose, I'm digging into the hole, not getting out.

If you ask for forgiveness of course. He would still love me, but that wouldn't help me in this case.

I'm not avoiding it. There is no good answer. They are all equally 'wrong'/'bad'.

OK... So what if the question was 'which one would you save?" Like Martho suggested earlier.

Because saving people is bad...

That puts it in a different way. If I could only SAVE one person, who would it be? I have stilled sinned with my girlfriend (assuming we are the same age or whatever), but if I could save someone, it would probably be my girlfriend, depending on how close I am to my best friend, or if my best friend IS my girlfriend. Because my girlfriend will have a baby soon, thus adding one person, replacing the person who doesn't live.

If they are both going to die, and you choose to kill one of them, it is by proxy SAVING them...

If I could save one I would save my best friend because since I would never get a GF pregnant the baby is obviously not mine and why would I save someone who is cheating on me?

Well, yes. The question is still the same, sure. But what we both neglected to remember here is that there are a fair few LDS members here, and to them, killing is the ultimate sin, and always has been. Even suggesting they would do so is probably a sin for these guys.

So, bearing that in mind, deciding who to KILL is impossible. Deciding who to SAVE, however, is a better, more universal question.

@Thin well, killing is not necessarily the ultimate sin since many people in the book of Mormon and bible have killed others when the lord tells them to. But if the person being killed is not evil or anything then yes, it is one of the worst possible sins.

I cannot say if I would kill either one, because killing is wrong. Saving someone could be a different story, but the same concept applies.

And why?

If I were to say your mother or father, you would (knowing you) say father, and that you could help your mom get kids (sick but that's what the world may say). Which is why I avoided putting any female in that statement.

Erm... This looks like it's going to spiral into a flame war...

Please don't do that.

Because in GMS, every argument is a flame war, and everything is off-topic, because its not like Mods like to abuse their power or anything.
