We bought a game called Labrynth. It's created for young kids which it suits perfectly. It's up to four players and we play with our 7 and 8 year old. Younger kids can grasp this game quickly. Everyone plays a wizard trying to get certain items from the Labrynth. Each player is dealt cards which they have to get one at a time. Each turn, you push a tile onto the board which moves that line of tiles to alter the maze. You try to move the maze so you can get a clear path to the item you need. First one to get all their items wins. The board is designed with some permanent sections so the tiles stay in line and the board never gets scattered. Play can be very fast and is good for kids to learn to think differently and great problem solving. We were able to get it cheap and I thought it may be great for other parents or grandparents here! That sounds really cool. How much tabletop real estate are we talking about to play it? |

The board is the size of a typical American board game such as Chutes and Ladders. There is one extra tile so that when one is pushed out, it is then used to alter the maze next. It struck me yesterday that if we lose one tile, the game can't be played. I now keep it out of reach and make sure they play with us. It'd be nice if it came with a few extra tiles just in case. |
