Steam is including games that support The Oculus Rift, including the game War Thunder which is a WWII combat simulator. I didn't even know about this device until I was checking out the game on Steam. Apparently the motion of your head is translated into looking around inside your cockpit and the skies around you for a more natural look-around than you get using the keyboard or pov switch. ME WANT!!! |

It just released from Kickstarter within the year. Apparently, the retail version is a lot better than the kickstarter version - it includes a lot of bells and whistles the dev-kit lacks. Although it doesn't appear that the consumer version is actually available? I know Ben Kuchera talks about the Rift quite a lot, and he's apparently used both version, so I'm not sure. It sounds pretty awesome. |

I'd like to see how they handle glasses. It generates a separate image for each eye to process from what the video shows it's more like one image is slightly darker than the other instead of the old red/blue images which bodes well for it. |
