I'm looking for a reasonably priced wired controller for my 360. Unfortunately I can't find any lower priced after market controllers that get consistently decent reviews so it looks like I'll be buying an M$ original. Going to drop by the gaming stre on the way home to see if they have a refurb for sale. Oh, Batman: Arkham Asylum GotY edition looks really great at only $15. LGM, did you play that or Arkham City? |

I bought the PC version of the Xbox controller - it includes a dongle so that you can connect to either a PC or the Xbox 360. I use the controller on the PC for all of my old Nintendo game emulations. |

The best I've ever seen in stores is $40. No console maker ever comes down on peripheral prices but they'll toss them into console bundles. I never researched or priced them out online so you probably know more than I. |

Lance, is your controller made by Microsoft or aftermarket? The biggest complaints I see in reviews of aftermarkets is lack of durability and problems like triggers being simple clickers and not progressive (sucks for racing games) and joy stick sensitivity and alignment issues. If you have a good aftermarket for a good price please let me know. |

Sniping requires progressive triggers for zooming. Huge difference. |

What amazes me is the fact that there's not a great difference in prices between wired and wireless controllers |

Mine are Microsoft controllers. I think Microsoft makes the best Xbox gaming peripherals right now. We've had four controllers for about 6 years now and haven't had to replace any. Mind you, that's with very casual game play. |

I estimate I've played through both DA's, all three ME"s, and several sundries over the past year without a single problem from the original controller, just wanted to be able to have a guest play too and also try it on my pc. According to this article you can use it without much fuss unless you want to play older games with it, then you have to get the pc controller. Considering how well this controller has performed and held up I decided I didn't want to fool around with stuff 30% cheaper but are only 25% as durable.
