Anyone seen the ads et that AT&T is putting out? Apparently when you buy an android through them it comes with Angry Birds pre installed. Does anybody actually buy a phone because they can play this game??? The concept is somewhat baffling to me. In other news, General Mills is advertising a new high fiber cereal that is packaged in a box that plays music. They're naming it Holland Oats. |

Microsoft advertised a phone built entirely around social media. Twitter, Facebook and Photobucket all integrated into the software. It failed. There seems to be a huge disconnect between users and advertisers. You'll nab some uninformed people perhaps but I don't think people are going to be that dumb when they are faced with signing up for a 2 year subscription and have a huge selection of phones that all do the same thing because the phone salesmen will tell them so. There is no room for an "AOL" phone. They're called regular cell phones. I'm not sure if I feel bad because of your poor pun or that I recognized the name. |
