I just heard this morning that Dennis Ritchie died last weekend. It was announced two days ago and his wiki entry has already been updated.

Rest in peace Mr. Ritchie. Call Function_Heaven("Dennis Ritchie").

His contribution to computing is no less than that of Jobs or Gates, just not as well publicized.

I was reading this great one about SCO, that bought a company that bought the rights to Unix from Oracle, but apparently didn't, and the right were subsequently sold to IBM, who resold them to Novell, but not before SCO sued everyone for rights they didn't own and after tying up the legal system for nine years, the judge threw the case out.

Oh, c'mon. Patent trolls are hilarious!

Aw, I'm disappointed. I really liked some of his work- I mean, who doesn't love the Commodores? And while All Night Long might be a bit cheesy, it's still a fun song.

I believe you're referring to Lionel. Like the model train.

I believe you're attempting to deliver a heavy-handed explanation of the joke I was making.
