Somebody closed the old thread so starting a new one. I've played my fighter on DDO a little bit this week and he's now level 5. My question is should I go for the Kensai or Stalwart Defender PrC? I currently switch between greatsword and mace/shield depending on circumstances so I've not committed myself to a specific weapon path. Oh! I love zen stories. And this is a good, modern spin on the one-hand-clapping anecdote. I shall meditate. |

I vote Stalwart Defender. Back when I played, I first built my fighter towards Kensai, because I loved that kit. But I was sort of underwhelmed by it. I ended up spending a stupid amount of money to respec as a Stalwart Defender, and it was pretty cool. Good for tanking. |

Since i mainly solo that's probably the best route. Dr 2/- is always nice :) |

Bah! I sent you some awesome recipes and items on LotRO and they all came back. And now Lonelands is free to quest. If I get the One Ring, I'm not going to share with you now...! |

You never told me you sent anything and you knew I hadn't been playing. And it sucks that Lonelands has been made free since I actually PAID for access to it. |

I just didn't catch you online which didn't mean you weren't still playing :) The stuff came back the day after we talked about being so busy lately. Plus, I never caught you online at the awkward times we got to play before you took a break. I'm still not sharing this One Ring I found.... with anyone. |

Logged into DDO tonight and saw that our lay-about leader had been idle almost 2 years. I quickly stormed into the Main Hall and took possession of the Scepter of Leadership +1. My monk now rules our guild with an iron butterfly fist. Who knows, I may even start playing it a little bit. Would have to get used to the controls all over again. Installing the high res client on the newer computer at this time. If it's pretty enough I may just play it some... Edited by Andrul, Mar 24 2012, 10:13 PM.

The guild leader stops playing for awhile and the game allows anyone to take over who seizes the scepter? That's messed up.. but pretty awesome for you! |

Clearly, DDO needs better unions. We should organize a protest. |

Heh. A while was 2 years ago. If Kishi starts playing again I'll be happy to pass it back to him. |

Man, I haven't even hit up Middle Earth in a few months. I think I uninstalled DDO for hard drive space a while back. |

Installed DDO yesterday and discovered there have been some changes. Apparently they've expanded and prettified the enhancements tree. So I made a halfling paladin, went sword/board because of the mediocre strength. But his class feat gives him +1 with longsword and at level 2 he's +5 to hit without magic, 24 AC, his saves are 9/6/8, can cast heal light wounds 4 times and lay on hands (heal 24 pts) twice a rest. Another addition is half-orcs, Artificers, and Druids. The Artificer looks very interesting but you have to purchase or subscribe, and is rated as challenging for solo. The druids just look like they kick major butt. |
