I was discussing modding with my brother in law, and he mentioned that Via was producing mini and pico-ITX boards. These things are TINY! And it turns out, Tiger Direct carries a few different varieties. My plan this year is to mod up a classic NES system that no longer functions with one of these boards, load up a whole collection of NES games and give it to my mom for her birthday. If I can find a pico-ITX board, I might mod the system into an SNES (since the case is smaller), and load both NES and SNES roms onto the USB keys. A fun hack project! Whoo!
