After several months I finally mounted our tv on the wall, and without any instructions since I'd lost them. It was fun figuring out the hardware for the tilting mount especially with the extra stuff for mounting the sound bar and they package included the bolts etc... for 3 different mounts.

Anyway, I am currently using it as a monitor since I have the laptop hooked up to watch a movie with the wife. I think if I lower it about 24" it'll be perfect for DDO!

Mounting tvs always makes me nervous because you better hit the dead center of the stud and keep them straight. It's cool to have them mounted. Mine would have been near level with a set of 8 lights and that never turns out good. I wish I had can lights throughout the downstairs and kitchen.

In the next house, I'm recessing a niche for the tv and all the related gear and running all the wiring through tubing behind the sheetrock.

Have you ever considered indirect lighting? It's supposed to be much better for your eyes. I'm going to be replacing the light fixture in the master bathroom eventually and am keeping an eye out for a light bar that will place the lights higher than they are now. Currently they hang down to my eye level directly in front of the mirror so I get the reflected light as well. Definitely an eyesore for me but the shorter, prettier half of my life isn't bothered by it at all.
