It looked good in the tv previews so I took the wife and son to see it over Christmas vacation. Happily, I was not disappointed. I heard after seeing the movie that it had a heavy handed "save the earth" message and I guess that yeah, you could interpret it that way but happily I didn't know that at the time so thoroughly enjoyed it and didn't feel even a single twinge of guilt at any time during the movie.

It's hard to give much description without giving away too much but think 12' tall American Indians shooting long bows built for their height and not liking the earthlings who want to mine under their home. The action was great and special effects superb. CGI is approaching the point where it's very difficult to differentiate it from live. Sigourney Weaver did an awesome job playing the soft-hearted scientist channeling Ripley.

I hope you're jesting about Ripley. That would be way out of place for me.

I had only heard that Cameron slipped an undertone into the movie. If it stays as an undercurrent opinion, I'm fine with it. It's quite easy to say war is bad, nature is good without spelling it out but it is a bit tired. Probably some grumpy critic who is a self labeled conservative. I still need to see this.

It is five syllables. But if you sound it out slowly, I'm sure you'll get it eventually.

Look, five whole syllables? You know how long that takes? Some of us don't live in frozen climates so we can actually leave our homes during winter months.

I mean, I usually don't, but I could.

I will admit I almost rolled out of my seat trying to stifle the laughter at the name of the metal but the rest of the movie was so good I'd actually forgotten about it :)

We are going to see this movie on Tuesday.

Probably.

My co-workers daughter went into labour about 3 weeks early, so she's off since yesterday and through next week. Which means all that time I'd hoped to be studying at the office, I'm now unlikely to be able to study at the office. My meager hours at home are all I'll have to finish up the course. :(

Perfect response!

I'm not sure if you saw it on other boards prior to 4e's release but it was a huge deal that Dragonborn females had breasts. Apparently the construct Shardminds of PHB3 have breasts and this is an issue yet again.

C'mon people. Boobs can only do good in this world.

There should be a caveat stating that the boob specimens be hot and female.
