I'm assuming he's having problems with the wireless. resetting the router would set everything back to default but would erase any steps Adam had taken to secure the network. Knowing him he may have limited the number of DHCP addresses given out and set up a mac address filter as well and he may even have disabled SSID broadcast. I know I did on mine.

Yes, I don't have the WEP key. Only one computer is wired up, in the office; my PC is wireless.

That's simple enough to solve. Change the key on the router and mimic it elsewhere. I'm going to sit back and see him struggle with it because he probably has no clue as to what he did nor the pw. :D

I'm sure he passworded the router as well :)

A passworded router is pretty much irrelevant, if you have physical access to the devices. He can always just reset the device and start fresh, and locking down the wireless is a simple matter of several clicks on four or five screens. Otherwise, a simple brute-strength cracking algorithm can solve most 8 digit passwords in a short period of time. It's not like the router locks itself down after X failed attempts.

Yes, but as I noted above, resetting will eliminate all security measures their brother has taken. They're free to do whatever they want but I won't tell them to do so unless I think one of them has the savvy to re-secure the network.

There may be one.. maybe two homes within the area that would even have a wireless network. That's being optimistic too. Securing the router isn't an issue really. If I had time, I would have just hit reset and set them up; secure it later. Alas, I have no time :( When I do get time, I'm going to invent a device that steals time from others.

Back away from the dagger LGM. You're dad's too cool to be turned into a zombie.

But he might get himself a second hot Persian woman. I know, I know: he's barely able to handle the hot persian woman he's already got, let alone a second. But I think that the dagger could give him the crucial edge to narrowly avert disaster and death time after time.

...sorry, what were you saying, Lance? I drifted off and started thinking about two hot Persian women.

I'm ashamed that I didn't think of that years ago. If anyone needs me, I will be sifting through ancient palaces in the middle east looking for a dagger... and women.

No one in Iran lives in the desert. That would be stupid.

It's only in America that people live in the desert and build hockey arenas there.

They didn't go with my plan of melting down the sand to make a glass floor instead of ice.

It would probably play out a lot like the injuries to Keith Malarchuk or Richard Zednik.

Both were cut on the neck. I don't remember which but one was quite severe and luckily a team trainer had good experience with severe wounds having served a tour in Vietnam. Here's a video that shows both incidents. It's in French but it replays both many times. Quite freaky to watch.

The goalie was the more serious cut, since the skate severed his jugular vein. Fortunately, as LGM said, the team medic on the bench had extensive trauma experience from his tour in Vietnam. They got the goalie to the hospital, patched him up, and I think he only ended missing a game to the injury. Goalies are crazy.
