If anyone happens to read the board today you may be interested. WalMart is selling 1 Terrabyte external drives for $78 on 11/27 only. From what I've seen that's a pretty good deal. Oh, TomTom's will be sold for $60 which is less than half the normal price.

Target's got a 1 terrabyte Western Digital for $60 for Friday and Saturday. Of course, then you have to deal with Target, and their black Friday ads make me not want to give any money to their company, so.... |

Zerxes left to be there at 5am this morning so too late to change my mind. And I boycott our local Target just because they're @sses. |

I'll shop Target long before I step foot into a Walmart. Microcenter had $60 Tbyte drives and a whole slew of other hd options. A large portion of the Black Friday sale ads are a bunch of crap. They'll have limited quantities to the effect of only stocking 5 of something in each store or their large ticket items will be name brand items which aren't part of any normal product line (ie. a big Samsung flat panel that will be dumbed down to 20,000 from 30,000 frames, a poorer processor and a UPC won't be part of any of their regular series because it stinks). I think the term was redistributive items. |

I'm considering boycotting Target, too, because their Black Friday ads creep me out more than a little bit. Of course, I'm not going to go out shopping today at all- my only store-based incursions are going to be when I take Morgan to buy fabric for work, and when I go loiter in Barnes and Noble to use their wifi while I'm waiting for Morgan to finish working this evening. |

Well, Zerx was at the store just before the sale was supposed to start just to discover all the drives were already gone. Looks like they didn't wait until even close to the published time frame. Ah well, I'll continue biding my time. |

Walmart is responsible for 24% of our trade imbalance. If we could manage to shut them all down in a single day, we'd be far better off. It would probably starve and ruin the poor so it's like taking care of two problems at once. Just herd them into camps and.... |

Well, if we're shutting down the Wal-Marts, we'd have a lot of empty buildings we could use as processing centers for those poor people. Besides, we could just herd them into camps and make them work in factories here, to help further alter the trade imbalance. |

Yes, camp songs to keep morale up while they manufacture common goods from raw materials! We're onto something big here. |

And then we could take those goods and, once a year, deliver them to children all around the wo- Wait, no, that's Santa Claus. Never mind. |

We could but none for the poor children. It wouldn't be much of a surprise and it might upset their morale. I'm always thinking about the children. |

That's true- plus why aren't those poor children working in the factories? It was good enough for kids in the 1800s, it's good enough for kids now. |
