Posting Rules
1. All content must remain at or below a PG to PG-13 Rating.
No offensive material is to be posted on this board.

2. Don't spam. For goodness sake, there is no reason to continue posting over and over again when you can simply edit your posts. This also applies to 'bumping' topics. If it doesn't need to be posted in, leave it be. Topics aren't deleted after too much time, here, just hidden by default.

3. Don't argue. There is a difference between Arguing and Debating. If you are intentionally insulted, then speak to a staff member or just leave them be. No matter how stubborn another person is in a debate, it doesn't have to become an argument. Simply agree to disagree if you can't settle it.

RP Rules
4. No Metagaming. If you have been trusted enough to have two characters on different sides of a battlefield/diplomatic situation, don't let any knowledge you may have affect your character's knowledge of the situation.

5. No Godgaming. This is making the environment give you the upper hand when the only IC factor is chance.

6. No Powerplaying. This is controlling another player's character's actions.

7. Be decently literate if you want to RP here. We don't have a leangth limit, because we understand that your actions might be limited in the situation, and that not everyone here will have a lot of experience. Still, you can always put more than... ' "Yes," he said.' or something similar.

8. Do some research if you need to. This is a Science Fiction RP and you need to have some basic knowledge of astronomical physics. You won't have to be a scientist to understand what you really need to know, of course. We aren't trying to be perfectly accurate, considering that many of the alien races here are extremely unlikely, but try to avoid any large mistakes, such as confusing black holes and wormholes.
(Case in Point, a wormhole is a disfiguration in the three primary dimensions of space allowing for the equivelant of teleportation, while a black hole is an extreme mass that has devolved to such extreme density that its gravitational field begins to bend the laws that govern material objects.)

9. There are two ways to handle an RP. The first, most conventional method is to simply take turns posting with one or more other players. More noteworthy is the 'mission' or 'journey' method, in which a staff member posts after the players' posts, controlling the environment and any NPCs. The latter is how missions and plotlines will be handled, but you may request such a system for a more continuous or spontaneous storyline. Simply state in the topic description that you want to use such a system, and a staff member will respond. In the latter case, the entire plotline will normally be of the staff member's control.

Character Rules
9. Any one character or character set can only be in one place at a time, excluding cases in which one character is seperated from the character set.

10. At the moment, you may have as many characters as you can easily handle. Moderate yourself, however, as an excess of characters can be difficult to handle.

11. As this is an intergalactic RP, it only makes sense that characters are included in small groups. This is your 'crew', (Though the term itself might be inaccurate, in some cases.) or character set.

12. Do not make an overpowered character or character set. You cannot control an army or a character with god-like power.

13. We do not have a list of character species to choose from, the reason being that this site is -or so we hope- to grow exponentially larger, with time. Search the site for articles on sentient species.
