Guarded by the portrait of the Fat Lady, this common room is warm and cozy like most. This is one of the most relaxing common rooms, and one of the wildest. The parties here tend to be the best in the castle, so it's not hard to find non-gyffindors lurking within.

This common room has got to be one of the most spectacular of the four. The tower is on the west side of the castle and it provides greatly arched windows that give students magnificent views of the mountains surrounding Hogwarts. The dome of the tower is painted with stars, which matches the midnight blue carpet in the center of the circular common room. To get in this room, however, is a bit tougher than normal. The talking eagle knocker insists on asking a question before students are permitted to enter. Answer correctly and gain access...answer incorrectly and it's best to find a friend to help you out.

Found behind a still life portrait, the Hufflepuff common room is full with yellow hangings and comfortable seating arrangements. The dorms can be found through small tunnels and it seems that they all have perfectly round doors. Although it's technically at dungeon level it's still as warm and comfortable as any other common room...and as far from the Potions classroom as can be.

One of the most plain common rooms, the Slytherins pride themselves in having only skulls decorating their low-ceiling dungeon. While it lays under the lake it tends to get a bit cold down there, but the average Slytherin has grown to get used to it.

Student-created clubs and organizations can be found here. You can join a club or make your own, as long as they follow the school rules.

Hogwarts is one of the best schools in the wizarding world. Enchantments and spells protect the school and provide it with magnificent views, great dinners, and some very special classes. There are a whole bunch of hidden corridors and rooms to discover and roam in, so it's no wonder the students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry love it so.

All the great tournaments are played here. The huge stadium gives every single student a great view of the field and a spectacular experience as they watch the houses compete in one of the wizarding world's best sports.

Don't try to dive too deep in this lake, because you'll find creatures you'll wish you never have. The giant squid likes to roam in these waters, and as do the merfolk. The merfolk are kind, but if you stay too long you might get a taste of the horrible grindylows who love to "play" with the students underwater. On shore you'll get a different feeling, however. When the sun is shining the grass is warm and comfortable to sit in while you just sun-bathe or have a chat with friends. This is truly one of the most relaxing places on the school grounds.

There's a vast amount of land here just barren with grass and a few trees. There are secret clearings and open spaces, and anyone can be anywhere. Bathe in the sun or play a magical game of freeze tag, but whatever you do don't go too far into the forest just beyond.

The greenhouses hold some of the most extraordinary plants in the wizarding world. Herbology classes take place here so that there's always a controlled environment for the otherwise uncontrollable plants.

The Forbidden Forest is one of the most dangerous forests a wizard or witch can be in. The assortment of beeches, oaks, pines, yews, and sycamores come together to keep out the majority of sunlight. The little that seeps in doesn't help the eerie and dangerous feel of this creepy environment. But not only does it look scary, the creatures that dwell in it can be quite frightful as well. Some are kind but some can be very, very cruel. The variety of creatures go from Unicorns to Acromantulas, which are huge sized spiders that tend to eat anything and everything that walks in their territory. So don't be a fool...don't come into the Forbidden Forest.

Being that Hogsmeade is just down the road from Hogwarts it's obvious that this place is often visited by students and teachers alike. Founded around the same time as Hogwarts, Hogsmeade is full of cottages and shops with thatched roofs and magical decorations. Hogsmeade is a must for any student attending Hogwarts.

It's located in London and it's the authority for the entire wizarding world in Britain. There are seven departments in the Ministry and all but the Department of Mysteries answer to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. The Ministry enforces laws, maintains order, operates Azkaban Prison.

Virtually every wizarding business is stationed here and this narrow street is always crowded with wizards and witches looking for things to buy. From inks, to robes, to ice cream and owls, you can find anything and everything in Diagon Alley.

St. Mungo's is hidden within an abandoned department store in London and is the only hospital for wizards in Britain. There are five floors to this hospital and each treat a different type of illness or injury. Being that this is the only hospital in Britain for wizards, it's logical that a few muggle cases come in from time to time, what with the havoc some people tend to create in the muggle world. So whether you or a muggle friend has a magical ailment, feel free to come in to get some help.

Hangman's Hangout is more of an abandoned courtyard near one of the old castles in Edinburgh. It was once used to hang those who broke the law back in the early days of it's usage. Now it's just a great place to the younger crowd to hang out. Every Saturday a mysterious witch or wizard sets up great decorations and food for the best parties in wizarding Edinburgh. Some say there are secret under-ground tunnels to hide-aways and and one even leads to a supposed trove of golds. But don't mind the rumors, they'll just get you nowhere. ...or somewhere.

Visit the mansions, houses, apartments, trailers, house-boats, and shacks of all your friends within this forum. Feel free to apply for your own apartment, but if you want a house you must have at least one more person living in there with you.

Is your character's life full of drama? Romance? Heartbreak? If so you probably need a place to keep track of it all, so this is the place to do it. Think of it as...a plottage database. Feel free to be creative.

If you're sick of your character or just want a new one and too lazy to go through an application process, this is the place for you. You can "buy and sell" your characters to people who want them. Oh, and you can also look for people to play characters you need as well. Only open to accepted characters.

If you need to send an owl to someone write it up here and we'll guarantee they'll see it. Or if you think the teacher is hideous and you really need to tell your friend, write a note as well. This is a great way to communicate with your friends (in character).

So, Zetaboards allows members to create blogs, and so am I. Except these blogs should be in-character as well! It's okay if you want to use it for OOC use, but IC use is encouraged as well. Here you can advertise your blog and try to get it well known. There's also the Blog of the Week going on so maybe if yours is juicy or entertaining enough you can have it posted up on the announcements board!
