This is a serious question, and I'm most interested in what people like Sipher, Hermit, Ourico, and Roi have to say on this.

This question is also assuming the two fighting are at least comparative levels to each other where in the sense of a raid, the villager in question being there to fight rather than running would make at least some difference. I understand that most people have the impulse to save themselves, but with K/D removed, dying really isnt that big of a deal, except for being a blow to the ego possibly, but imo running should feel worse than dying as it would imply you were totally dominated and gave up

I usually fight until I'm overwounded, and then I keep fighting until about 3-4k hp, I strive for ONE last kill, then I leave if the kill's announced mine in a raid.

Yeh my reason is the Same as avatar, even tho im beat i try my hardest to get that last kill, most of the time it pays off. I dont care if i die by anyone.... it just tells me that i need to try new combos, strategies ect ect.

Well, if im in a raid, i leave when i have too many wounds only if i managed to kill the last person I fought, otherwise i continue to fight them until they die, I die, or the raid ends for some reason

When im defending (which is rare) id fight until i died since running to the hosp is the same as dying and respawning there

I would have to say run to survive, if no allies would benefit from your death. I'm a fan of no needless deaths.

IE: Three vs Three. You have been targeted the most and are about dead, and the other two can hold their own until backup arrives or you get back, go ahead and run to survive.

IE: Three vs Three. You have a high probability of dying, but other allies around you are definitely going to die if you run. Stay and fight to the death to at least save them, or until backup arrives.

When I fight someone I can't help but kill my target(s) or die trying. I could be in the worst possible disadvantage but I still continue to fight it out. I remember one day I was fighting someone and I was at 100+ wounds, 15ish stamina, and about 1000 chakra. I charged at my target :P

Edit:
Can u make a choice that says "depends on the situation"

I usually fight to the death... but I'm also almost always immortal. If I'm fighting someone and they run so much and can't damage me and I know the fight won't go anywhere unless I Blood Bind... I'm just going to leave. People call this being weak, but I'm impatient... I don't want to give myself 200 wounds for the sake of killing someone that sucks. Otherwise, I'll probably stay :P

Reminds me of myself, I was fighting with 164 wounds, 880 hp, and 2k chakra XD

I hardly ever raid at all but when I do, it's always for a bigger reason. But while fighting I will get away to recover with a few banages untill I kill my target or targets.

Pretty much fight until I die for the most part. If I die it just usually makes me angry and I more than likely end up chasing down the target and killing them over and over again until I'm satisfied with the end results. As most people who've ever been with me know, I'll pretty much end up fighting at all costs as long as it means I can keep my own allies alive (3 vs 1, 5 vs 1). You just realize what's better for the greater good sometimes.
