Would anyone happen to know the rate of critical hit chance increase? Or at the very least what type of equation it uses. I'm trying to calculate the marginal best time to wait between hits.

Also, Ive noticed sometimes I'll wait a good amount of time, hit, no crit, hit again immediately after and get the crit. Does this mean the chance decreases with each hit but not all the way down? Or is this just sheer luck?

I do think Kobata mentioned it gets up to a max of about a 50% chance, but the time period you have to wait to get that is kind of high, I'm pretty sure the best method is not maxing out the chance, but waiting long enough to have a decent chance and then attacking.

I heard 10 seconds last wipe. Didn't the jutsu proclaim it itself when you turned it on?

Used to, but Kobata updated it recently, back then, even after those 10 seconds the crit rate was apparently very low. He made it take longer to charge to max, but the max is higher now, it was atleast a minute to get a 50% chance i think

I can't remember who it was but I believe someone said the chance increase per second is so miniscule, something like 0.5% per second or other, that it's not worth waiting at all. But this could have been fixed by now.

From what i understood, Kobata increased the rate of critical hits and also let it charge past its former max (the 10 second mark). We did some testing and one minute seems to be a good wait time, and probably the max % chance for a crit. In comparison to ctr it honestly isn't worth it. In that one minute you could land as many as what...3 or 4 ctrs all causing a minor slowdown and cumulatively much greater damage than that one MP crit.

There's also the factor that people can visibly see your hands glow blue, and know you'll be waiting for a crit, meaning all they have to do is dodge that one hit and then unload on you because a crit won't be coming soon after, and it would take you too long to switch from MP back to ctr to stave them off.

I guess it's a good alternative if you lack any str whatsoever in your build, but have a good amount of con, though even still ctr would be comparable in damage.

Actually, im not sure missing that one hit emptys your charge

Edit: I'm sure it does, Kobata said so himself
