Lol, i remember back when byond 4.0 first came out and the server used to crash all the time, it was awesome when instead of a byond icon that does everything, we just opened dreamseeker directly |

Awww I remenber those times in 2007 =3 where even you needed rfx to land a ctr in a rfx user, otherwise you had 3% chance to hit him with it. D: Kai and Midou Ban were ma sensei!! |

I wasnt a gater nara I was a 2.7 con 2.7 int .6rfx nara medic jutsu spammer... And I understand very well that being a heavy rfx type outweighed being a non rfx user because no matter how hard you fought at the end of the day you still had c/ds and they still had infinite sword/slash

I still think akimichis were as strong or stronger than kaguyas. One crit from them could completely obliterate a bone harden and they had damage reductions of a battle with the partial boost of a ruthless, oh and don't forget the ability to turn into a giant ball of pwn. My source would be having both an akimichi and a kaguya of the same level, and finding it considerably easier to kill the same people on the former than the latter. |

ah i remember that like it was yesterday i just said something in ooc yet a hyuuga accused me of ezing gave me a good laugh secondly im sorry but i preferred the fast paced fighting of 1.16 and before compared to any other goa version the current version is just incredibly boring |

Im sure most of the people who played during the pre 1.20 days preferred that style of fighting(myself included) even if the game was horribly unbalanced towards rfx and permastunning. Just looking at this pic http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/4004/screenshot1yt41.png makes me recall vivid memories of fights that were both fast paced and long at the same time.

Dammit, i accidentally deleted the pic, oh well. *edit* replaced the pic, good thing i had it on my old comp still But anyway, the 20k stamina in gates was almost useless back then due to a bug with drowning(and i had 40k by the time i was level 90), not to mention tai damage was a joke and anti-gate dancing was among the most frustrating thing ive ever encountered in any pvp game , but gates didnt block jutsu use back then, so it was always fun thinking up ways to completely bypass those problems, one of my favorites being my ever-evolving lion combo+ chidori nagashi combos. I remember desperately trying to land that miraculous Nirvana Fist so I could follow with Wind Sword and try to sneak another move during the Lion Combo or just after it. Another strong memory was how shocked I was when I found out we wouldn't be able to fight the whole fight in gates anymore

I'm pretty sure it was moving in a certain pattern to escape being tai locked by a gater. |

There was no such thing as tai locking back then with the ability for tai to miss and punch damage being capped at 150(225 in gate 5). Back then the best gate users were the ones who relied on all their abilities to be good instead of just getting a high str and rfx and holding a. Gate dancing was moving in a pattern to escape being hit at all by the person due to punches happening during the teleport instead of after it and the inability of gates to move you infront of someone moving diagonally back then. My secret to combatting it was using a kunai directly after teleporting, something that only a handful of people ever realized was a good idea. |
