I Getting the Interview Together II How to do the interview III Signs of a good/bad Interview IV Concluding the interview V Tips and Techniques to perform an interview Hello and welcome to the Applications Handbook. In this handbook you will learn how to perform interviews and how to put your input on a good or bad applicant. Follow these steps I am about to tell you and you will help GDN in being the biggest professional clan in the world!. I…….When you want to set up an interview with somebody, Open up our forums page and try to get the applicants gamertag. We do not do interviews over msn because it can cause conflict that is not necessary. Get there gamertag and add them onto your friends list. This way you can talk to them one on one in a party or private chat. Then just simply invite them to the party or private chat and get under way with the interview. II….So when the applicant has entered the chat room ask him/her how he/she is doing just to get to know him/her a little bit and to comfort them before you start the interview. Then open up a word document and type in there answers so you don’t have to remember them. Once you have talked to each other a little bit you will have to ask them a few question’s to determine weather they are Eligible and have the quality’s we are looking for in GDN. These are the question to ask the applicant. 1.Where did you find us? 2. How often will you be able to get online? 3. How well can you follow orders from someone? 4. What can you bring to the clan? 5. What do you expect to be doing in the clan? 6. What made you so interested in the clan? 7. Scenario: You are in a foot chase with a suspect. You see that he is armed and the suspect enters a building, what do you do next? Once you have asked these 7 question’s post there answers in the Applications section under there name. Be sure to add your two cents about the applicant and how you felt about him/her. III……. During the interview keep an eye out for a few things. This will determine weather it is a good or bad interview. When you ask the question’s look to see if they are interruptive or very loud. If they are interruptive be sure to stop what you are saying and let them continue. Don’t stop them because this is how we find out if they are worth being in the clan. Also if they sound younger than the age of 15 just be sure to make a note at the bottom of your word document. Young kids in the clan can be a problem because they can be not as mature as the rest of us which could lead to conflict later on. If they are Loud, Obnoxious, Interruptive, answering questions wrong, not answering the question, or simply not listening , these are the simple signs of a BAD interview. Now to look on the bright side of things here are some signs of a GOOD interview. Listening very well to your questions/comments, Being crisp and clear when talking, answering the questions correctly, and asking questions about the clan. This Shows interest in what we do in GDN. IV…….When Concluding the interview you should tell the applicant a few things. Be sure to tell them to check the forums often to see if they have been accepted in the clan. If they have any questions to ask you be sure to answer them to the best of your ability. After the questions they have asked come to an end Tell them to have a good day and then close the party chat ! Then when your interview is all done with open up the applicants application and post there answers to our 7 questions. Now remember to put your comments about the person at the bottom. You should say how they talked and how well they listened to you. REMEMBER the application has to be accepted by an ADMIN ONLY ! IV……..Some tips and techniques as an GDN interviewer. * Represent yourself as a professional. We want our name out there as a professional clan who takes thing serious. Don’t use slang terms when the interview is in session. * Be as active as possible. Being active is a Big help in the applications team because we get numerous amount of applications a day. * When an application is posted you can decline an interview if the application is very very poor. We don’t do this often but it has happened to people. * Have more than one interviewer with you is a good thing. This is your witness if the applicant is giving poor answers and is being rude or disrespectful to you. * On the application it shows the applicant’s age. People do lie about there age to get in this clan as we do have an age requirement. If they sound younger than our age requirement then be sure to make a note of how old you think they are. This is when a second interviewer is helpfull, * When the applicant has been accepted or declined be sure to let he/she know that they have been accepted or declined. Now that you have read the Applications Handbook you now have the skills to perform an interview to its best. We hope to see you out there giving interviews and making GDN that much better !
