Wow, there really is not much activity on this forum...but I figured I would add my two bits on why of homeschooling.

Let me start by saying that I have not 'officially' started homeschooling. But here are SOME of the reasons I will be (and not necessarily in this order):
*The public schools are failing children's creative side
*The public schools have taken God out of the picture
*Public schools in a sense foster disrespect, disobedience, immorality, etc
*Public schools are NOT part of the family and therefore do not have the FAMILY's best interest in mind
*I enjoy my children immensely and sending them to public school has already taken away over 30,000 hours from us spending time together
*The influences, attitudes, behaviors of other children in public schools are unacceptable and we do not wish our children to continue to cultivate those traits
*There are many programs in public schools for 'learning challenged' (aka learning disabled, call it what you want) but not for 'gifted' (those that surpass the mediocre standards set by public schools) especially in small towns

There are so many more reasons but I feel I would be repeating myself somewhat so I will stop there.

Those are my thoughts
