Great graphics, great controls, and as for the music.... I fell in love at the title screen. Does anybody else have any experiance with this game? I need to talk with somebody about this game!

But the real draw to it is the philosphy behind its creation. The company High Voltage Software was sick and tired of 3rd party devs taking PS2 games and porting them to the Wii and taking on "waggle" control. They were also tired of the mini-games and overall "kiddy" reputation the Wii developed. So they set out to make a mature game that pushed the Wii to it's graphical limits. And because of their claim, other 3rd party devs are taking note. Look at RE: Darkside Chronicles, or Dead Space: Extraction. Mature games that look freakin' awesome! I'll admit those two might not be the best examples, 'cause they're both rail shooters, but still...developers are starting to realize the potential of the Wii. And HVS is making more games in a mature and graphicaly stunning fasion. But about the game itself... It's a first-person shooter set in the near future. Washington D.C. is under alien invasion, and you are the only one who can stop it. Yeah, it's a bit generic...but I still support the idea behind making the game. And it is so much fun to play! Sorry if that was more than you wanted to know! I'm just so excited about finally getting this game!

Bad, lazy 3rd party devs, who believe the Wii is a PS2: And what High Voltage Software has done on the Wii: And because of HVS, other 3rd party devs are stepping it up, too: So even if The Conduit doen't do too well, it still did a wonderful thing and bitch-slapped the lazy 3rd partys!!!

Posts: 179 Group: Members Member #4 Joined: Jul 1, 2008	That is pretty cool, the graphics in Conduit do look really good for the Wii. And I have to say that Dead Space IS AN AMAZING GAME!!! Yup, I have it for the 360 and it is especially fun to play at night, monsters just jump out everywhere!!! ^^ They need to make more games like Dead Space, I can't wait for the second one!!

On topic: So far, my favorite weapon in The Conduit is the pistol. I head shot the humans like crazy! I have a little more trouble with the Drudge however (the aliens). My second favorite is probably the shotgun. Just feels so powerful!

Posts: 541 Group: Admins Member #2 Joined: Jun 30, 2008	First: Dead Space is my favorite game of all time. It even tops SM in my Metroid fanatic opinion. And now on topic: My favorite is actually the strike rifle. Well, actually the Hive Cannon, but that doesn't show up often and, being a rapid-fire weapon, runs out of ammo too fast. But the Strike Rifle is powerful, has a good rate of fire, and there is often more ammo than you can pick up for it. The Warp Pistol, in my opinion, makes a good back up for it. Although, at the same time, I must admit that I love the shotgun, but in almost all first person shooters I am the shotgun guy. And pistols have always been my second favorite; favorite if there's a lot of shooting at ranges farther than twenty or thirty feet. However, with The Conduit I break this shotgun rule. Also, I agree with Leon: Getting head shots on humans is ridiculously easy with the pistol.

I didn't list it before, cause it's still basically the pistol, just more powerful. It's like the Conduit's version of the magnum. One shot kills, no matter where you put the bullet. I killed a drone by shooting it's foot. And that was my only shot I fired at it. With infinite ammo unlocked, I never use any other gun....well, at least when that super pistol is around.
