I woke up this morning to find my Wii is having overheating problems... ![]() Its my fault though. I left it on a pillow overnight, and that just trapped its heat and basically cooked it.... I'll try it when I get home later today.... At least I still have my DSi (that's how i'm here now). |

The only reason I can think of to "bash" the DSi is that Nintendo keeps making better versions of the DS instead of actually new game systems. However, if it was possible to trade in an old DS (and a bit of money) for a DSi, sort of like paying money for an upgrade, it would be a lot cooler. Although, I guess it is possible to sell a used DS and buy a DSi ... so, in a sense, they do have that option. So really, what's the problem with it? |

But you can trade in your old DS and recieve a DSi for cheaper. Go to Gamestop. You can get a DSi for like $100 instead of $170 if you trade in your DSP or DSL. Not sure on the exact pricing though....you'll have to check yourself. You've been able to do this for a long time at Gamstop. Trade in your N64 to lower the price of the Cube, for example. |

Even better. So then, what is there to bash about the DSi? That Nintendo isn't making any new handhelds? That can't be, considering the last non-Nintendo handheld (at least that I remember at the moment) was the PSP. And how long ago did that come out? Around the time of the original DS, right? Please correct me if I'm wrong, it's kind of hard to think with a headache... |

No, you'r right. The DS phat and PSP released at the same time. Then there was the DS Lite and PSP Lite, then the DSi and PSP 3000...... No one bashes the PSP 3000....even though it has serious screen tearing that the PSP Lite didn't have.... |

I just realized something that I probably should have realized ages ago. Microsoft is a computer company, and Sony is a speaker company ... Nintendo's the only pure gaming company of the three main companies. Or have I stopped being right? |

Microsoft is a software company, not hardware. The only hardware they make is their X-Box. (there used to be a Windows TV thing....but I think it died...not sure) Sony is electronics of all kinds. And Nintendo used to be a cheap little toy manufacturing plant. You know the figures that come in board games? Nintendo used to make those kinds of things. But now they make hardware, software, and even still make toys of for thier video game characters, as well as accessories of all kinds. Edited by Leon Ni'Kate, May 12 2009, 10:09 AM.

I knew I stopped being right. ![]() Microsoft: that's what I meant, I think. Sony: but it's still best known for speakers and Playstation, right? Or am I still wrong? Nintendo: I don't know if I knew that and forgot, or never knew it at all... ![]() Anyway, Nintendo is mainly known for video games, while Microsoft is mainly known for software, while Sony is mainly known for a whole bunch of stuff. Am I right again, or should I have quit while I was ahead? |
