Link, Tails, Krystal, and Leon Kennedy Fanboi Posts: 381 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Mar 31, 2008	(note: I'm pulling from all the Zeldas here) I was thinking really hard about it....and it seems to me that the Hylians live on a mostly liquid diet. We know they drink milk, and most likely water, too. There are also potions of different kinds. Yeah, soup is considered a food and not a drink, but the people of Hyrule put it in bottles and chug it down like a drink! They do have livestock. But there is no evidence that they eat the cows, horses, goats, pigs, and chickens. They just use them for the milk (the cows and goats). Wasn't there a pig in Wind Waker that the family was planning on eating? I don't remember now... Anybody else have any ideas? Its really bothering me!

In the town market in TP, you can check one of the stalls and it says that there is fresh bread, and another mentions apples! MORE REMEMBERING! In ALTTP, you can knock apples out of the treees! Ok, so that adds some fruit and grain to their diet. That makes me feel better. But there must be more?

All the sentient races made an agreement to not eat things that are lesser varients of the other races. i.e. nobody eats fish because of the Zora. Now, in TP, the Deku are not present, so the people have began eating plant matter. They use grain to make bread, and grow pumpkins and apples. In ALTTP, the Deku did not exist yet, so people grew apples back then, too. When OOT came about, and the Deku appeared, people stopped eating plants. Hmmm......weird huh? (note: when I say "back then", I just mean in terms of when the game came out. I'm not referencing the timeline placement.....that's a whole 'nother topic right there!)
