That or he just used a different color of foam because that's what he had available.

Looks like it's all closed cell, but he round the hammer heads out a little to give some progressive resistance.

Same thing could be applied to the sandwich design, in some way, I suppose.

I'll see if I can replicate it once I finish my axe and get some decent garb.

Sounds good to me.

I finally put a cover on my sword and need to finish my shield, but that won't take much.

edit;

Actually, it wouldn't hurt to organize a build day or something.

Yeah, we need to plan it one or two weeks ahead of time. The last one was kind of last minute.

I'll post a thread or something later tonight.

Alright, the sword I made (ended up a 48" red) flexes a wee-bit much, so I'm going to build the hammer this weekend, so far I'm looking at a 5'6" core length, and going to use goop and the black foam from tempe sales for the initial box on it. I'll make a step-by-step tutorial on how I made mine while I wait for DAP and goop to dry.

Also, if anyone needs some cardboard, either sheets or boxes, I've got a crapload from moving. I started using one for some of my foamsmithing materials, and it wouldn't take much to make sections to organize everything.

Anyway, it's free, so if you want some let me know and I'll give it to you at practice.

i may be a little late at this but i sugest you guys use 3m spray adhesive insted of goop just because its more durable and if you guys are using pvc use driveway marker rods insted just tape 3 of them tgether for clubs and 4 for swords it will make your weapons lighter and mor sold and its easyer to work with then pvc or buy the 1/2 inch square fiberglass cores form edhellen.com
