anyone with any info on how we can get our hands on some fiberglass cores from a local supplier should let us know we need to start building an arsenal for ourselves and loaner weapons for people that want to come and try it out but have no gear

I was just at home depot lookin around for some duct tape and i found the driveway markers, they had 2 kinds one was the thin kind that have to be doubled up, but they also had thicker ones. which are 3/8ths inch round. i think it will make a nice core, ill bring it sat to show you. |

I think I already checked the websites of all of those companies but two (FRACTURE FIBERGLASS & SAINT GOBAIN SPECIALTY REINFOR) 2 or 3 weeks ago...I may have checked these two as well. I saw nothing on there that I thought would work...mostly it seemed like they did specialty work. However, I did NOT CALL and talk to them so I might be wrong. As far as the driveway markers go, I have two swords which use them as cores...I like the swords a lot but do not feel that they are as good and useful as they could/should be SPECIFICALLY because of these cores...they flex too much and as a result this completely negates any strength I may possess--basically, instead of using my strength to move/block etc an opponents weapon, I am simply using my strength to put more arc in my flexing weapon--which is pointless. I do not hope to use them again. |
