Is this our rank, or somethin else?
|
Ok, I'm kind of new and I've never been to a practice so I want to confirm a few things before I go off of info that may or may not be correct. Is this the most recent, fully updated rulebook? http://www.digitalbonsai.com/dagrules-draft/ If so, are there any rules that our chapter has changed, removed, or added? Are these the current qualifications to rank up from Helot? Helot: -fighting name & web bio -read & understand the dagorhir rule book -have your own garb that passes the 10 foot rule -win 2 duals any weapon style of your choice equally armed with equal or higher ranking opponent -gain a sponsor to advance from 1 person of higher rank -attend 5 practices If those are the correct requirements, what is the 10 foot rule? I didn't see that on the rulebook page I posted the link to. I am in Scottsdale - Is the closest practice the new one at Red Mountain Park on Monday from 6 to whenever? (I found out where in the park it was, we couldn't find it when we went today because the park is huge.) And is anyone interested in either starting or joining a unit in Scottsdale? Thanks, that's all =) |

Oh almost forgot, is there a difference between hacking (sword) and smashing (club)? |

Yes all of those rules and rank requirements are correct. the ten foot rule just means that mundane clothes are allowed as long as they look good from 10 feet away i.e. black tennis shoes. I would definitely recommend trying to make it to the Tempe practice at least for a couple weeks, since that group is established and we have been getting a decent number of people recently. |

Oh ok, so my tan skate shoes should be all right, maybe even my black boots. Where and when is the Tempe group again? Is it the Thursday one? Because that's the only day I'd have trouble going to the meets. And thanks for answering, there's so much to read on the forums and I have no idea what's up to date or correct lol |
