I was thinking that actual green daggers weren't really what I was looking for. What I was looking for was more of a defensive Dirk you could use for, say, Longsword and Dagger fighting as an example. So I think what I'd be looking for in that case would likely be a scaled-down blue. As for armor, I figured you probably used Leather. lighter, better in hot climates, and more affordable. Is there a specific place you buy leather from? I had in mind to make a set of armor for myself in Brigandine fashion, with splinted bracers and greaves, but I'm going to wait on that until I have the skills/tools/materials to work on it, as well as wait until I lose a little weight before making it. I'd hate to craft myself a suit of armor, only to have it be too big for me in a short time. |

The Leather Factory is a good place to get leather. There was one in Tucson. I'm not sure if there still is, but you can check. You can also check on Tandy Leather, which is actually owned by the same people. That's a fairly ambitious project. Good luck. Myn |

Hehe, I know, which is definately why I'm NOT attempting to make it as my first set. I may invest in some leather and practice with it a bit and try to throw something decent-ish together, before I ever try to make something like Brigandine. Is there a certain template/technique you guys use for making your armor? Edited by Cormac Elsinore, Dec 5 2010, 12:01 AM.
