i would suggest having a fight day each week. its a great way to help have a stable group. and have an event, like a raid, every so often. |

I'm a fan of having weekly skirmishes, but Josh is kind of a pansy and doesn't want to. Well, we have a "board game" that dictates what kind of fight we do when we have our main events. I constructed a hexagon map board that we play on. I don't know if any of you have ever played the board game "Diplomacy", but it plays pretty similarly to that. All players meet in teams and discuss what they should do next and write down their moves for each army. Then the team leaders meet at the game board and all do their moves at the same time. If there are any conflicts, instead of being fought by rolling dice, we have a battle. And of course, if an army moves onto an enemy castle, there is a siege battle. We're currently working on a system where for every move we roll two ten-sided dice, and certain ranges cause certain random events. Like 0-50 would be nothing, but 50-60 would be a bandit attack or something. So we have a lot of variety in our event battles, but you're totally right. We need to have frequent practices. |

that sounds interesting. but it will be easier for you guys to keep your fighters if you have a set date, specifically that everyone can agree on |

Originally our events were scheduled the third Wednesday of each month, but with school about to start again we switched to the third Saturday. |

If I can get a ride, I can go for sure. If not, I may not be able to make it. That's pretty far for me |

Thanks for showing up, you guys. I hope you had fun. Next Saturday we're having a build day at my house, but the Saturday after that is when we are having a main event (you'll want to put on your game faces). We're so glad you came. Every single one of our friends flaked out on us, and it would have really sucked if it were just Josh and I. |
